But the companies aren't doing these projects for free. They struck a deal with the FG to build these roads in exchange for a tax rebate. So in essence, the roads are actually being built by the FG using the tax from these companies.

Where is SS and SE in these?

After all the tax will be used for construction of roads if collected.

This is done in order to bypass the hyenas in National Assembly who know not nothing except to pad the budget and replace national strategic project with illegal constituency projects which can not be monitored or probed.

Good one.. I think this Buhari can do better if given another chance. Just that he get too many controversies around him. And I wouldn't blame him, if he decides to fight corruption and bulldoze everyone in his corruption campaign, it will surely affect his second term. He needs the help of his corrupt close allies.

They are not just lazy but also stupid. The FG has given expo on the roads to be constructed.

In return, the private parties will receive tax rebates. Better this way than to let the monies be paid to government and stolen by a selected few. You see, there are many ways to get a particular thing done. Hope the news didn't spoil your year?

SS: construction of Bodo-Bonny road and bridges across Opobo Channel in Rivers State; and rehabilitation of Benin City – Asaba road in Edo State

Lol, I have couple of real estate investment in that axis, same with several of my friends and family members, I was thinking of selling everything off due to bad roads but I will jettison the move, fingers crossed

Yeah right! That way the taxes are sure to go directly into construction of critical road infrastructure at good quality especially as no world class brand would love to be associated with mediocrity. We are sure the roads will be good quality!

This is nice but I still advice the government to supervise the roads they are building.The roads should stand the test of time
