That is the problem with many Nigerians. Nobody want to be labourer. Everybody wants to do office work or make quick money. Do you know that in the Western world the people you refer to as labourer makes more money that office people. Plumbers, Electricians, tilers etc. They make a hell lots of money and richer than most of the people who works in the office. Wake up fron slumber and do something productive and stop callibg Buhari all the time.
all the artisans you mention won't work on a road, why is it hard for you to know that a nation ought to be balanced in job opportunity which govt can't do but only private business can.
Govt will always want thousands into one profession which makes no sense.
To office verse field job like you said:everyone has a choice to choose what he/she want. You will never hear this from the leaders of develop nations

Dangote may be the biggest but I doubt that he has the sole right to import everything or anything. To the best of my knowledge dangote is not the sole importer of cements or manufacture of cement neither is he the sole importer or manufacturer of sugar or wheat or any other things that he produces

go and read his story, how he made his money

The govt is handing the duties expected to private parties and you're clapping. Do you understand that the taxes you pay are for these roads

Why weren't these roads constructed when therse companies were directly paying taxes?

Ask your national assembly who always slashed budgets meant for capital projects.

This move will bypass them and ensure speed

With One trillion dollars in oil revenue over a 16 year period, the calamitous PDP refused to construct all these roads.

God bless president Buhari for digging us out of the dungeon of PDP, we must make sure not to return there again.

How do you guys think?? These men have nothing to offer, nothing... apc and pdp

Pls, include AGBARA-ATAN ROAD ooo...
This is long over due... This is the best way to go... More roads should be allocated to the private investors instead of awarding corrupt contracts here and there! Our government should make most these amenities business-like and you'll be amazed how it can be maintained, that's if the bad eggs do spoil it!
Unilever is one of the Consortium in the project and their Headquarters is along the Agbara-Igbesa-Atan Road. It will be very foolish of Unilever if it doesn't make that road a priority!

Though I'm not a fan of any political party, I like this executive order. Hoping the private coy do what is expected.

Moreso, I'd rather give APC another 8 years before comparing them with PDP. FOR 16Years no road no light. And we are demanding for the same in 4years abbah. Spare the APC thieves

Please let every region decide who builds their roads. Not organizations that have become tools in the hands of the cabal.

We can't be borrowing to feed the over bloated government and pass their responsibility to the private sector.

As long as Nigeria is not restructured, this is another avenue to loot and enslave Nigerians.

Let states take ownership of roads let them have private sector within their region invest in the roads.
How do you restructure when the evil corruption is still with us . from. the no 1 law officer to the last person in this country corruption has deeply made us the garment we wear.
It has become part of our daily life that people have seen it as legal.
No best policy in the world can work in Nigeria without first dealing consciously with this monster corruption.

Lol.
The citizens of Nigeria pay taxes, they pay to the point that the government is trying to extend that collection to assets and businesses offshore. Now, the amount collected, and still undergoing collection so far, where is the accountability on the part of the government?
Billions in revenue, but still need private companies to build infrastructure.
Ask your government to be accountable!

Wow. Its amazing that you know enough to type on the internet but you think this way.
Roads are not the only things taxes pay for. The hospitals you're constantly complaining about, the airports you call eyesores, the schools that are currently on strike.....
ALL OF THOSE ARE FUNDED BY TAXES!!!
Myde4naija:
if all roads are constructed that means no one will pay tax?

Weytin dey worry all this educated illiterate sef
Re: Dangote, Unilever, NLNG, Three Other Investors To Construct 19 Federal Roads by litaninja(m): 12:45pm On Jan 28, 2019
You're too used to suffering and mediocrity. That's the problem. As it is your civic responsibility to pay taxes, so is it the responsibility of the GOVERNMENT to provide the infrastructure. Not private entities.

Gbam.
Felixv:

The government is paying them in the form of tax relief. It means your tax bill is reduced according to how much you spent on the road.

Consequently no one can steal the taxes these companies paid to the government.

Actually it is a cheeky way to bypass our useless NASS who, not only delay our budget but also remove investment for critical infrastructure.

Not sure I said that...but truth is, the roads are their duty...their obligation. They must build them. They don't praise you for paying taxes, why should u praise them for building roads?
