soliddust2020:What you don't seem to understand is that nobody is saying Buhari is so loved in Delta. The reason the Urhobos and others will be voting for him is because of political expediency. It favours them more to support their sons (Ogboru and Omo-Agege) who will benefit from Buhari's victory. Also, both candidates of APC and PDP are Northeners, Muslims and Hausa-Fulanis so the benefit GEJ had (our son) is not applicable here. Do you honestly think that Urhobos will vote Atiku for Presidency then turn around to vote Omo-Agege for Senate? It's going to be one way, either they vote PDP all the way or they vote APC all the way. Also bear in mind that PDP's rigging machinery will be minimised since they no longer control the federal govt. From most comments made earlier you will notice that nobody is given Delta outrightly to PMB but only saying that there will be a marked increase in votes to him due to the factors I have stated herein. Shalom. |

designking:Oshare I greet you. For now the only PDP stronghold in Delta central is Ethiope West, uvwie has been infiltrated, the likes of Baro and Co are working heavily for APC. Let's not also forget the fact that Ogboru is also related to anioma and has strong political strength in some towns and villages in Delta North (most especially ukwuani LGA). |

americanson:Am not rooting for Buhari... Infact I would love 4 him to gt zero vote in Delta State bt reality on the streets is saying the Urhobos and Itsekiris would vote for buhari because dey want Okowa out and Uduaghan as senator respectively. Dey think a vote for APC at federal level means a win for APC at state level |
| Re: APC May Pull A Shocker In Delta State by Produke(m): 7:17pm On Jan 29, 2019 |
The truth is Ogboru will not win the guber elections, Okowa has the nine Anioma local governments and three and half Ijaw local governments locked down. Votes in Ogboru 's senatorial district will be shared, Ogboru's hope lies with votes from Ethiope East,Udu,Ughelli North, Ughelli South. Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie will be a battle ground. Ogboru will win Itsekiri and Isoko communities but not convincingly. Sapele,Okpe and Ethiope West are supposed to be Ogboru's strongholds but there are too many PDP bigwigs in those areas to make Ogboru have a smooth ride |

| Re: APC May Pull A Shocker In Delta State by designking: 7:36pm On Jan 29, 2019 |
Buhari will certainly not get 5% votes in Delta but over 35%. The pattern of southern votes in this elections will be absolutely different from 2015. Those saying Southern Votes are already sure for Atiku are not being fair to Atiku. Akwaibom, Rivers and Edo State will all record above 30% votes for Buhari. |

| Re: APC May Pull A Shocker In Delta State by Efewestern: 8:10pm On Jan 29, 2019 |
Produke:Okowa doesn't have all Nine Anioma LGA to himself, Ukwuani is for Ogboru, Ogboru is winning Uvwie, PDP made so many mistakes in Uvwie in 2016/17, they harassed some key members, locked up someone who has so many influence (name withheld), etc, so over the past few months there have been series of decamping which was in favor of APC. Okpe and Sapele for sure will be for Ogboru but with little margins, Ogboru is also clearing Isoko and Itsekiri, and I'd like to correct your earlier statement, Ogboru is not sharing votes with anyone in Delta Central, he is getting nothing less than 75-80% votes from that axis, which is also the most populated zone in the state. |

sebali:You are almost right, But Okowa will do a second term in office and James manager will return from the senate to succeed him in 2023 to fulfill the status quo of the king makers. Uduaghan and Ogboru are just making noise. Uduaghan was Governor for 8yrs, what did he do for Delta State? No sensible Deltan will vote for him. The only way Uduaghan is going to the senate and Ogboru Win the gubernatorial election in Delta state, is if Tompolo is dead and that cannot happen. Take it or leave it. |
| Re: APC May Pull A Shocker In Delta State by Efewestern: 9:38pm On Jan 29, 2019 |
April4th:Did you just mention Tompolo?, Sorry sir, but Tompolo has no political weight in Delta state, we are not talking about militancy, even if it's militancy his influence ends in his backyard, maybe you are unaware that we have different ethnic groups occupying Delta state, with Urhobo being the largest, they occupy Delta Central and Delta south, So how can tompolo decides who wins an election, when his ethnic group is a minority in the state? Uduaghan and Manager will have a tough fight, the isokos will be the ones to decide who wins the senatorial election, For now 90% of itsekiri's are with Uduaghan and 90% of Ijaws are with Manager. |
| Re: APC May Pull A Shocker In Delta State by Produke(m): 10:14pm On Jan 29, 2019 |
garfield1:Ogboru is at loggerheads with the APC chieftains from Delta North. Victor Ochei and Pat Utomi will work against the emergence of Ogboru as governor |
| Re: APC May Pull A Shocker In Delta State by April4th(m): 10:21pm On Jan 29, 2019 |
Efewestern:Oniovo it’s this same way people talked, before the emergence of Okowa and Tompolo single handedly enthroned him as governor. It’s this same Tompolo that made James Manager to return to the senate, for you to relegate him to the backwaters of Delta politics. Don’t worry too mI ch, we’ll have this discussion again after the elections. |

Produke:I just want buhari to get at least 30% |
| Re: APC May Pull A Shocker In Delta State by sebali(op): 6:26am On Jan 30, 2019 |
April4th:U missed my point.... No one is voting Uduaghan becos he did a good job as a governor... No. It's tribal politics. The Itsekiri's are insisting its their turn to produce Delta South Senator. So Itsekiri's would vote for Uduaghan, Urhobo's in delta South would vote for Uduaghan while the Ijaw's would vote for Manager...... The winner depends on who the Isoko votes for. Also tompolo is no longer as influential as he use to be. GEJ is no longer in ABUJA |

If this thread has taught us any lesson, it is the fact that we can disagree and still be partners in making Nigeria great. Mod, take this thread to front page to teach people some lessons about how a forum should be. |
| Re: APC May Pull A Shocker In Delta State by americanson: 11:40am On Jan 30, 2019 |
sebali:That is a flawed reasoning and I don't think it cut across a wide spectrum of Urhobo... They wouldn't not to put Buhari there just to have Uduaghan. Uduaghan is corrupt. I known how he got in there. My school was used as one of the centers for both buying. |
| Re: APC May Pull A Shocker In Delta State by designking: 12:27pm On Jan 30, 2019 |
americanson:That is the point. Uduaghan as you claimed which I totally agree with is a criminal and also a strong election rigging master. Both sides will greatly outsmart each other on rigging this election in Delta State. The margin either party will use to win this election will be very slim. It will be about money and thuggery. Thugs usually go with the direction the spending is coming from. Uduaghan is stupendously rich having serve 8yrs as a governor in the state when oil prices were extremely high. He has a lot of money to spend on boys. Okowa may pull through but not without a tight contest. This is definitely going to be the hardest election for the PDP in Delta State. |
