grin lol no mind me, I was asking because of MIUI is refusing to use AOSP lockscreen, instead they break it then use their shabby implementation that makes notifications on the lockscreen (not the main lockscreen) to disappear when you unlock your phone
Why not buy the note 7 and experience delivery of superb performance.

You're correct that in the features department, AOSP usually lags behind OEM android skins. Features can be added to AOSP without breaking what is already working in AOSP, if Oneplus could do it, then Xiaomi n Huawei don't have any excuse, my 2cents

We will discuss more on this, let me check for some update. Will like to engage u on this. Give me little time i will quote u Bro

Anyone knows how I can change my default browser away from Mi browser? Any time I click a link, it diverts to Mi browser which doesn't accept some secure connections.

You probably already made it the default browser unknowingly
Goto Settings, installed apps, make sure system apps is visible, you'll be able to locate Mi browser.

click and you should find 'clear default' option.

Brand new, NO. But you might be able to get a used redmi 6a or older entry level xiaomi phone for that price.

Or if you can wait for the android go redmi phone that is to be released in Africa..... Or better still, up your budget.

it won't be on tecno and infinix phones and even any serious budget phone of less than 70k. The display is costly, but its better than IPS and LCD for phones

I need help. My redmi note 4x won't charge. I was watching a movie on Netflix when the battery died. I immediately plugged it to charge and the charging light kept blinking. I thought it was because the battery had drained so it needed time to pick up but after 3 hrs the light was still blinking. I tried to power on the phone it did not. I left it to charge and went to sleep. In the morning I tried to power it on again it didn't work. I charged again for another 5 hrs it still didn't work, the light was still blinking.
I later took it to an engineer who tried to boost the battery but the problem still persisted. He dismantled the phone and checked every thing but the problem could not be solved.
Has anyone experienced this or can anyone help bring my phone back to life? I really need my phone back.

Am by no means a guru, but have you tried a hard reset? Power on volume down to reset from fastboot mode.. I have an old Xiaomi Redmi 4A sitting in my cupboard, same thing happened to it, though it was gradual, mine came with a useless vendor ROM from geekbuying .This was back in 2016 I think phone was barely four months old..
