Is he teething? My son was like that for over 2weeks cos his first two teeth were sprouting at 9months. He barely ate 2spoons, my son that wouldn't take formula started finishing like 200ml at a go, so that's what he took majorly with breastmilk.

But now he is back to his old self.

My 15 weeks old daughter started coughing and catarrh since yesterday morning, we are suspecting teething issue and our family nurse said she's still too young to use emzolyn or other cough drops that we should only give her vitamin c and multivitamin but I'm not comfortable seeing her in that condition even though she's very active , laugh and play normally.

Catarrh and the likes are common in little ones, we should try as much as possible reduce giving medication except no other choose and prescribed by a paed.

Catarrh takes like 5days and reduce afterwards and during this period, we can help our lo by doing steam inhalation, ensure to keep them warm but not too too warm by excessive loading them with too much clothes to avoid them running temperature and give plenty cuddles and keep them hydrated even it is little water or milk or any type of healthy fluid. It sure helps and if after those days, there is no improvement, pls go to the hospital. My one naira

Also I was told Aptamil is very good for new born babies as it's the closest to breast milk, how true is this? Will be resuming work soon

Ok. Just keep trying something, anything from regular food to swallow. Try finger foods, try using bottle to feed instead of spoon. Multivitamins too might help.

Theres no set time,some as early as 5 days while some harder ones fall later .some have stayed as much as sthree weeks.the koko is to monitor the smell,is think is as great pointer to whether its healing properly.If the smell is bad,check whethwr the spirit is original or better still buy from as reputable pharmacy,clean as often as you can and stuffs like that.

Imo,theres no formular as close to bm anywhere.Its either as formula or is breastmilk.Aptamil is good same as nan,smagold,eldorin my boy et al,your pocket wil tell which one you wil buy because those things dont even last upto 6days and baby may no prefer the more expensive ones when you pocket is saying something else.

So I have no choice than to bring a sensitive topic here.
It's about Proudmum. It's taken me quite a while to even do this because I was trying to do some check and be convinced before passing judgement: good or bad.

I know a lot of us know PM from way back 2015 and we know her history. She's been here several times to solicit for help and well meaning NLers always rise to her aid. Over these past months, I had a handful of moms call me that she sent text to them for help offline and she solicited for help.
To the best of my knowledge, she really does need the help. We pray that we shouldn't be burdened with what exceeds our finances and our emotional capacity..
So I got on the phone and spoke to her. I made her realize she can only ask for help for so long till people get tired of her wàhálà and ignore her.

So I'm here, pleading on her behalf that we set up a seed funding for her to start a business or help her get a job. She resides in Edo state. If anyone can help her get a good job please contact me or her.
For the seed funding, no amount is too small. We are not giving it to her to eat or buy drugs.
We are giving it to her to start a small scale business. She will legit write a business plan for us and what she intends to use the money for and will be monitored closely. She will also lose any right to come on this forum or her NL contacts to request for financial assistance henceforth.

The money will not be given to her directly, it will be paid to a member of the MHC account and then the giver will please send a message containing the amount contributed to me for transparency and accountability sake.
At the end of a stipulated time, the total amount will be announced here and transferred to her alongside our well wishes.

My challenge is that a tin lasts less than 3 days and his consumption seems to be increasing and he eats every one hour plus. This isn't pocket friendly plus the formula doesn't hold him for long . What can I do to supplement his food.. Is it okay to introduce pap right now?
