You are doing a great work here. May the blessing of Allah be with you all. Amin.

I applied for Canada student visa in August 2018 and was refused November 2018.
This is my profile
Course: Advance Diploma in Sustainable Aquaculture
BSc : Agriculture, Second Class Lower
Reasons for refusal:
Purpose of visit
Travel history

A friend in Canada helped me order for gcms notes and the visa officer wrote that I did not show a compelling reason to study. He said my course is not reasonable because the career benefit of my course is not up to the cost of studies. He also said I have limited travel history.

Please how do I address the officers concerns

@Frank
If the gcms says "PA has failed to satisfy me that the course of studies is reasonable given the high cost of international study in Canada when weighed against the potential career/employment benefits.

WHAT IS BEST APPROACH TO TACKLE THIS CONCERN?

In this post I will use a business incline program as case study to tackle the above reason sighted by the visa officer in the aforementioned GCMS note. You can choose to modify it based on your area of specialization or expertise.

First and foremost, I will start by saying that the associated cost of my studies in Canada is logical considering the fulfillment of laying a formidable foundation for a long term career in business, a field that is very lucrative, financially rewarding and sought after by employers in Nigeria. Nigeria being a developing country is constantly facing consistent challenges of several entrepreneurs business crumbling within the space of few months after setting up business. Hence, the growing need for business professionals that will provide the effective method of fund investment and business expansion. The opportunities available for me upon my return to Nigeria as a deep-rooted business professional cannot be overemphasized and a few year’s remuneration in business would have exceeded the cost of investment made to the program, a fact Mohammed Buhari, who is sponsoring me is aware of as a business tycoon, hence his financial support for my program.

Prospective applicants this is a guide and shouldn't be copied verbatim.

Sorry bro but to be realistic, pursuing a course in Canada and knowing fully well this VO are expecting u to come back to Nigeria to use the cos u studied to help the Nigerian economy...the VO doesn't see how your course would be beneficial to your home country.. so to tackle this, u need to explain convincingly on your LOE/SOP why u chose that cos and how it's the career benefits of the course to your home country...for the limited travel history, u need to start reading from page 210 to the present page..som1 spoke on how to tackle limited travel history...but if u ask me the main issue is convince the VO on the course u chose

U are the one to write on your SOP why your dad's friend wants to sponsor u, the long relationship between the sponsor and you...as som1 that follows this thread, u need to sound convincing cos you are using your dad's friend who isn't a blood relation to you...so u need to explain why he chose to sponsor u...your dad's friend also needs to write an affidavit of sponsorship where he will state why he wants to be the one to bear the costs of your schooling and living expenses in canada...he also needs to submit his SOA, your own SOA... his letter of employment, birth certificate...etc
