I personally find it easier and more thrilling reading from the Bible than from phone or electronic". That's what the pastor is saying. People should find it thrilling reading from the Bible than from phone app while in church. He said they can do that in their office or elsewhere. It create distractions in church. I remember a guy brought out an expensive phone in church congregation and all the ladies were trolling him right in church!!

I've been arguing this for some time. yet some people would yield credence to carrying phone and reading Bible in church. There are many distractions when you do that.

What are you saying sef? So Na the format dey important than the words in the book? I read a lot of books and uncle I don't understand where he is coming from. If them say John 17:3 you open your hard copy KJV and open my KJV Bible app, no be the same thing dey inside?

The difference between hardcopy and softcopy is the paper. . . I find it more comfortable to read softcopy; some people don't, it's distracting. .

If you have heart attack in the middle of the night, the most important thing is to be well grounded in the scriptures and quote it as your weapon of defence. Lest I forget, why is the church also using POS?

Books are invented by technology, if you read the bible from your phone or from book, it doesn't make any difference. What matters most is you understand what you read.

Why not tell them to bring scrolls, animal skins and clay tablets instead...

After all, God's word was not originally written in books. The book is just a compilation of individual message sent which were written on stone, animal skins, scrolls etc. Wherethen is it stated that we must reverence God by using only the Book bible.

Suleman is right on this one. Many Christians get distracted in church when they use their phones.

He shouldn't have said that, he could have at least caution them,advice them to stop doing all those things while worshipping. Its left to them to understand what he's saying. Either to honor God or otherwise.
