Mineral oil will coz more sludge build up than full synthetic oil .. In terms of oil change, factor in the cost of your less expensive oil and how often you will need to change oil and filter.. Now if you use your car for uber.. At least as a full time driver, you will doing at least 2k plus miles a month.. Your less expensive oil will require you for the safety of your engine to do oil change at least 3k miles .. With Mobil 1 extended performance you are guaranteed 15k miles before oil change.. One of biggest client that buys from. Said rite now he is clocking 9k miles without oil change, he might clock 10k miles before changing oil .. Now he buys oil from me at 17k for 5liters. Which is more than enough for the 04 corolla he drives. Mind you with that 10k miles he is still using the same 2k naira ultra synthetic oil filter. With you now each time you change oil ,you have to change oil filter.. From your cut costing ways, I can guarantee that your oil filter is about 500 naira.. Which is very low quality, and u not knowing that low quality oil filter can coz serious damage to your engine.. The reason why I say this is that, some material that are used to make this filter are actually paper.. The paper might not be strong enough to absorb the dirty oil .. And in the process the paper starts to tear apart and parts of it ends up circulating inside your engine.. Either way ,I wish you the best on your maintenance culture...
Forget story car we go spoil go spoil. I have been using my Camry for over five years now I change the 500 oil filter and Mobil 4500 oil and my engine is still sound and sharp can go anywhere in Nigeria today. So just do ur best and don't waste all ur money on servicing is it only oil that one looks at in d car. There are so many things not only oil.

6k mileage, 4 months on uber? An average uber car does between 4000 and 5500 miles a month.

riders will definitely underprice the drivers, and drivers with good clean cars will reject the offer and definitely boycott your company,. Den drivers with dead kabukabu cars that couldn't pass Uber/taxify test would accept the offers,. Ur customers won't enjoy their rides and would boycott ur company and return to Uber/taxify
thanks for your submission, but I think this is not very clear Sir. We are not suggesting nor are we forcing ride on anyone . if you want a clean ride then you pay for it . we just want to provide a situation whereby you pay according to demand and supply forces. If you demand a clean ride you pay what the driver ask. Its completely your choice and nobody is interfering in that. Plus there will be standards still. For the drivers we are going to make it zero percent service charges so I am still wanting more views in this pls

Don't worry pay back is a Bitc@h .. Give it time, just a matter of time before you end up paying the piper..... The same way u maintain your car, am sure is the same way you maintain your health.. What is the point going for regular check up when you are healthy abi.. Until something finally happens is when u will realise that you should have taken better care of things.. Words advice don't have that same attitude towards your health bro.. Goodluck on your camry hoping no check engine light is on

So if she blacklists the card and report the matter, will that exonerate her from being a criminal in your eyes?

Because I don't see why you should encourage someone to pay #10k plus from Ikoyi to MM whatever, knowing fully well that she was robbed
The robber here is the lady. She stole from a thief, and from innocent taxify as well

Well we learn everyday.. Always buy your own filter and oil. Take charge of your things.... Are u even sure the oil you buying is original?

If you want a good oil. Use mobil 1 imported from the USA . Are they other good brands in the market ? Yes . But I can only vouch for what I use and sell... and always read and follower owners manual at all times ...

Can one change to synthetic oil if you have been using mineral oil.

i find statements like these very amusing in this age of technology. U can always do an independent research of your own online; Have u done a tear down of an aluminum Engine running 20w 50 oil after 3yrs? Anyway.. No further comments. Na experience dey teach ur type.

My chairman I have nothing against using other brands of synthetic oil but this is a very dangerous statement in fact in my opinion the oil you use is the most important..you can get China parts which can be replaced every week but if you use groundnut oil your engine cannot be replaced every week ...you can drive your car with the legs making all manner of noise ie not working optimally but if engine is not working fine iz an issue.,

I know someone that bought a toks 2004 4 runner for 3.6m sometime 2 or 3yrs ago, dey wanted to service the gear so the mechanic poured abro atf into the car instead of T4, the gear packed up and they had to overhaul the gear system..bear in mind this same abro will work perfectly in other older less complicated gear systems.

Personally I don't joke with my engine and gear oil plus original oil filter and I advise everyone not to either...yes Mobil synthetic is not the only oil in the market but for me that's the only oil I use for my cars.

Please use recommended oil by the manufacturers, no be we make the car, the people wey make am sabi wetin dem get for mind

Yes you are very correct my brother.. Like u said some Toyota transmission requires u to use Toyota oil only, anything less than that you are on your own .. And most of these cars that are about 2009 model upwards u dare not play with engine oil or use cheap oil ..imagine using cheap oil on a lexus GS 300 2014 model.. The cost of that engine alone can buy two tokunbo cars

You cannot. Oil burn might occur especially when switching from 20w50 to XW-20 or XW-30

Experience they say is the best teacher. You might be lucky not to have Engine crisis yet with mineral but surely Ladipo await you.

Many get lucky by selling the car before major issue.

I will pen my experience with mineral oil someday.

i think u have a point. The type of mineral oil (Dino) we have here isn't exactly the type of Dino they have abroad. They have 5w 30 regular oils abroad, I wonder why the annoying multi national oil companies we have here don't bring in those kind of products . The damage prolonged usage of 20w 50 oils inflict on aluminum block engines here is frightening, this is why i avoid buying nigerian used cars for personal use because of their questionable service history.

Honestly, I might not approve how she handled it by not reporting but I cant tell if she's in the country and doesn't have the time or she is just upset because of the bitter transaction which honestly she has the right to be especially if its her first transaction with the company.

Furthermore, understand that her not paying is not criminal because there has been a breech of contract. there was a fraudulent transaction from the story which left a bad taste in her mouth and made her not fulfil her obligation. if this matter were to be in court, its easily defendable because the onions is on taxify to employ dependable and trustworthy drivers which in this case (assuming all things are equal as regards the story) they did not. If the clients decides not to fulfil their end of the contract because of a breech it is not criminal sir.

BTW I believe you don't understand what blacklisting of a card means. it means that particular card (debit/credit) which was previously linked to a current/savings account has been deactivated from OTC and all electronic transactions but the account is still funded. So she did not refuse to fund the card as the card is no longer functional.
