You people surprise me sometimes. The money FG pays a single federal university in salaries ONLY in one year can buy a brand new private jet. Each year they share out of the 2% education tax(tetfund) which they refuse to give secondary and primary schools. That money amounts to about N200 billion annually and each uni gets about 1 billion naira. Yet nothing to show. Let's not talk about the 200 billion revitalization fund GEJ gave to universities

Pastor Chris probably knows better than to pour water into a basket. He once gave his ekpoma alma mater 20 million and that money was looted.

The US federal govt spends 4% of their budget on education, has no university (except military academies) yet gets more results than Nigeria spending 7% plus so many extra budgetary allocations(Tetfund, NEEDS assessment etc).

Yet the Nigerian govt universities are as useless as it gets. If Nigeria was spending the Tetfund's N200 billion allocation to rather empower entrepreneurs like TEFoundation it would have been better than pouring the money into non productive universities.

If I were the President I would implement 'no work no pay' during strikes and if they try to use students sitting at home to blackmail me I would sack everybody not working and recruit new staff. No time for nonsense.

Oga, giving doesn't work like that.
Some people are called into industry just the way others are called into ministry and would be surprised to know there are reverse-tithers in the body of Christ. That is people who pay out 90% of their increase as seeds and use the 10%.
So a person giving N1bn doesn't mean he has N20bn somewhere in assets or reserves. It means he is generous enough to give N1bn Naira. Remember the woman who gave two talents in the bible? The widow who gave little but most?
