fasterwell:This is false. Stop 'educating' people on what you don't know. Obasanjo's rail projects were all standard gauge. No single narrow gauge among them. The recently commissioned Kaduna-Abuja was one of the projects and it is a standard gauge. The British already built the existing narrow gauge, why would Obasanjo be building another narrow gauge again 100 years after? Yaradua's excuse was the funding. They were to partly debt finance (loan from China Exim Bank) and partly paid with crude oil. His motive remain unknown. He said the arrangement did not follow the 'rule of law'. Many people applauded him then because of their rabid hatred for Obasanjo. The popular opinion then was that he was ''dealing" with Obasanjo, to the admiration of a lot people. |

The comments of most people on this thread is very myopic and perhaps lacks objectivity. May I reteriate that government business is a " going concern " and hence a working country should have continuity in governments. Having said that, it doesn't and shouldn't matter who started or flagged off, or finished a project. Are they funded with personal funds? These projects are funded with our commonwealth, tax payers money and it's the government's responsibility and obligation to provide these infrastructures. So If PDP started it and APC finished it, who cares? Lets use our sense, let's not allow politics to blind us from seeing what belongs to us. |

AutoReportNG:I sincerely appreciate your analyses hitherto the fact check. However, just like most of your posts, this lacks the required detailed analysis I was expecting. To start with, the project is that of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Going forward, all I got was that the the PDP government awarded the project but you never mentioned if they mobilized to site or not. Secondly, you failed to show us site pictures from the PDP era which also makes your post or investigation incomplete. In conclusion, it's not how far but how well. Whoever completes it should take the largest kudos for not abandoning the project not discrediting the initiator as in every project, the start stage is as important as the end stage |

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DrbHq3UX4AEAI9H.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DxsI6huXQAI9hPP.jpg The government of President Buhari has completed the construction of the Nnamdi Azikiwe mausoleum which was started in 1996 but abandoned by previous governments for 22 yearDen lay foundation for 22 long years even though they accumulated $800 billion in earnings including looting is not corruption GEJ who accumulated the largest oil earnings in the history of Nigeria, but finally completed by PMB in less than 4 years... ...but the useless, lazy and incompetent looters want us to give them coke and fanta for thinking about the project decades ago ![]() |

If it's about signing memorandum of understanding I'm sure APC can easily sign at least 20 before February 16 - just ask each federal ministry to dust one proposal each, contact the companies involved and get it signed within the next 7 days ![]() |

seunmsg:Stop trying to use a false analogy... The contract GEJ signed was to cover two sections which were 1=The Lagos Ibadan Rail 2)The Kaduna - Abuja Rail... And he elected to start with the Section 2 aspect first which was constructed to about 80% before PMB took over and did the finishing. So saying he deliberately refused to construct it is a lie. We don't have infinite resources to simultaneously handle mega projects easily. |

AutoReportNG: Tofax:Launch, start or formulation is nothing in Nigeria, delivery is the real deal. Because in 99% of the time, the earmarked money always ended up in the executioners pockets. If I'm wrong, ask PDP about their abandoned party secretariat |

AutoReportNG:Open mind? Conflating decades of abandoned project with a project that was started from scratch in 2017 and completed in less than 2 years. Is this your interpretation of open mind? You basically and intentionally confused yourself with your own lies and deception. Btw, what new ideas do you want us to be receptive to? Ideas like lying and deceptive ideas where people like you fool Nigerians that abandoned projects are really not abandoned and we should praise the people responsible for abandoning the projects and looted the funds while relegating the dedicated and competent people with enough fortitude, foresight and love of country ? Is this your so called warped idea of open mind? Is the culture of incompetence, corrupt behavior and unpatriotic ways you think we should applaud and appreciate? This backward and unintelligent rubbish says a lot about you as a human being. |

We knew u are paid by @pdp to do this, no doubt. But sentiment apart Even Lagos Ibadan express road DT gej came to flag off in 2014 didn't commence till he leave office. What happent to d money budgeted? Ilorin -jebba was said to have completed in d sureP paper, but nothing was done on d road. Until SaiBaba came. He did it under 1yr. @pdp are know for white elephant projects since the time immemorial. Like Mabila dam, second Niger bridge, east-west road, etc. Lagos - Ibadan rail line may be one of d way @gej deceive West to get vote and pocketed d cash thereafter. because why did he refused to start it for his ruling of abt 6yrs ..... See @Mbuhari may not be perfect, but, Better by far than @atiku AutoReportNG: |

AutoReportNG:I did not call you any name, I qualified your comments as backward and unintelligent and I stand by that comment because expecting Nigerians to appreciate and recognize thieves, unpatriotic and fraudulent elements just because they abandoned our projects after looting the funds while relegating the dedicated, people with sense of duty and guts to finish the projects in dire times and little funds was backward and unintelligent. Stop celebrating thieves, stop celebrating incompetent people, stop celebrating unpatriotic elements because we lack so many things from basics to even stable electricity because of the same worthless elements people like you still want us to celebrate and recognize as worthy. This is about Nigeria and the horrible mess the people you want us to celebrate left behind for us to deal with, not about politics. Why mus we always come up with whatever little resources we have to complete decades old abandoned projects with looted funds, then turn around and celebrate the same crooks responsible for the mess? Why? Stop shitting on our intelligence. Btw, you can not tell me anything about Yoruba people, I'm Yoruba and I know all about Yoruba people standing on the right side or morality no matter what. |
