Yes, you get a Letter confirming the validity of your Biometircs for 10 years once same is received at the VFS centre. Your visa approval or otherwise will come much later upon reaching a decision.

DUPSYSPARKLE:
Please for those that have successfully gotten their Visa's did you get a validity of biometric mail with an attachment that shows how long your biometric is valid for before getting your visa.

The mail is just to confirm the receipt of your biometric; it has nothing to do with granting visa or denial. Canadian biometric is valid for 10yrs

Thank you for the clarification and your help on this thread.God bless you

Dear all,

I have been a silent follower of this thread but I am out today since the US has become unfortunate to themselves as if is not the money that I am spending in their country. I don't know why they are restricting date for Dropbox. The date I got is very close to my edd so I am trying my luck on Canada application

Please @hotstepper, well done on the good job doing here.

Please, I saw that someone needs to invite me. Is that a must that someone must invite me? please enlighten me biko. Also, if you don't mind, can I get a preview or format for invitation letter used. Please I can PM anyone for that

Thank you

@Hotstepper please urgent reply. My wife and I contact a Doctor in Ottawa (Obygn). The secretary said we have to made payment of 2100CAD first (doctor fee) then receipt and some other things will be sent to us. Is it advisable to make the payment before submitting our application?

@the bolded; how please? Are you talking of Dropbox direct or a 221(g) Dropbox refusal?

Dropbox direct. When they schedule you for appointment. You don’t have option to choose date as you like. The numbers of date is listed and is not more than 5 or 6 so you have to strictly choose between the options provided

Yes. I don't understand what you mean by Dropbox direct or refusal but what I was trying to say was when I did Dropbox it later asked me to schedule interview and to do this, the date are restricted. I only saw 5 different days listed and you can't choose beyond that.
You can't spread your tentacles unlike if it's a fresh appointment

I don't understand what you mean by Dropbox direct or 221g Dropbox refusal. All I am saying is when you are schedule for an appointment, you can't choose a date you desire. The dates are restricted to what they want you to see only

Just trying to be sure you are not making a mistake or to confirm too if there’s a change in the Dropbox process. You submitted your passport to them for renewal already (Dropbox direct) but it however was returned back without visa and you were asked to schedule an interview appointment with them (221(g) refusal, technically), abi? Or it’s something different you are talking of? Like you haven’t submitted your passport but you are being asked to schedule an appointment?

Yes, I agree that Hotstepper has been very helpful on this thread. I think the only fault she made was allowing the continuous endless personal message to her to go on.

All these PM defeats the main reason the thread was started.

But this to the best of my knowledge happens only if your direct Dropbox application has been refused na. Such invariably means you have been denied technically on 221(g) grounds (put on ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING) and you will either be asked to schedule an appointment or to send in whatever they want through DHL. You will see this in your dashboard and a letter will come back with your passport too. Dig?

If people can be honest, they should come and aay how I always tell them to ask in this thread so everyone will learn. I often even encourage people to give the canada trip experience for everyone.

I can decide to be mute here nd this thread will still go on but what is thr point? I just do not like how I am been judged wrongly. Also, if i have ever messaged anyone privately 1st, plz thr person should say so.

this is good if they are willing to collect money and write letter to that. But be sure of refund policy.

Good morning ☀️ house. @hotstepper & house I’ve seen another Doctor in Toronto giving us appointment by 4th of April, please should I call the doctor to email appointment letter to me or I should just write and indicate it myself that I’ve an appointment with a doctor in Toronto by 4th of April before submitting my application?

if the doctor can send you a letter, that will be fantastic. Remember to have enough money in your account if applying for medical.

Hello All,

Applied for Visa in December and got denied yesterday.I stated childbirth on my application

Their reason for denial was based on Travel history.I have travelled to US,Uk, Dubai and Gambia so i dont understand what they mean by travel history.

The second reason was due to Family ties both in Nigeria and Canada. I applied alone, i have a husband and a two year old daughter and i stated they would be staying back in Nigeria while i come give birth in Canada, what other family tie do i need.

As for tie in Canada my friend who is a citizen gave me the letter of invitation other than her i do not know another person in canada. Why do i need a family tie in Canada? Could there be an issue with the person who gave me the letter of introduction cause am confused?

I have decided to have my baby jejely here as i almost 34weeks gone and its too late to re apply.

But i just want to know where exactly i went wrong in the application so that when i reapply i can be able to address these issues.
