You cannot have an unfair terms of business and still be allowed to trade.........

It's clear consumer protection rights is non existent and the only route to resolution is to test in court........

If it was my money, I would surely be seeking legal redress......

I am sure they will have a very effective legal team.
Bros do not get me wrong. I do not in any way support their business model but I speak from a strictly legal standpoint.

There is absolutely no way you will win them in a legal battle. On the moral question, their model is less than despicable. But morally wrong doesn't mean illegitimate. You had been warned even by posters/billboards.

Are aware of unfair terms in business dealings? Very wrong for you to say they would 100% win a legal tussle....

If it was my money, I would test it legally........

Go read up on what happened to the owner of Jovago.........

this kind of threat, amazes me way beyond explanation. when you do businesses with an individual, you begin and end with over sabi. even when we tell it all to you and ask you to go on a test drive...still not being satisfied, you take these money over and hand it over with absolute ignorance to a company. and when u get disappointed you to to the media and start crying. the car is not brand new and no warranty was given to you. so anything that happens after you pay, is your problem. and nobody else's. would that same amount not have gotten you a durable tokunbo vehicle that would still bring you more revenue till you are able to buy your choice car? its either you learn from experienced people, or others would learn from your experience. thanks for sharing the experience anyways. These kind of things would make the company improve if they care, but still it doesnt guarantee that 100% of the customers will be satisfied eventually. so in any transaction, it is your money, use your discretion or get ripped off. dont cry, just move ahead

Anyone buying a car at car45 is at his or her own risk. If you don't or cant test drive, dont buy. This one in particular fell victim of some shady and greedy car dealers at the car45 ikeja and the worst of them all is the one at Odo-olowu office. A dealer called Olawale Auto's is the worst to deal with. The staff at Odo-olowu will even increase the prices on stickers and tell you the prices are different from what is stated on the stickers placed by the company and the staff will acknowledge them. Save your money and import your cars jeje. Stop been fooled thinking you can get a car that runs and in 100% good shape at such ridiculous rate. What you see on whatsapp and pics are way different from what they sell on ground. Nigerians be careful

Even when their reports didn't mention changing the car from righty to lefty? The fact is that they are defrauding a lot of people on daily basis, they can't possibly win all the legal battles they may face

This two sitesmebtioned here are Nigerian site which claim to purchase or swap cars from people and sell same to another people who needs it
So I was making a research ones of recent which made me go through their Facebook page which is carbarz I saw cars that are still ok and neat on their pages but my attention was drawn to a comment of a young man who bought a BMW x6 car from them this guy was complaining bitterly how he spent 1.6 million naira putting the car back in place and he was also saying they don't allow buyer to test drive the car because they don't want people to steal their car and which any money paid is non refundable please if you have any experience with this company kindly share because I'm thinking of going there to get a car too but the comment I saw has discouraged me thanks

I'm a lawyer and I stand here to tell you categorically that you are wrong.
Misinformation and attempt to fraudulently take above the value of a product by hiding the original value is a crime under the constitution of Nigeria and they can loss their license and pay a huge compensation for it.
If the op is interested, he or she should drag them to court and he/she will surely win the case.
But before that, have the receipt of purchase with you, have the vehicle condition catalog given to you before purchase and finally, get in touch with the new owner and let him be on your side on the condition of the car. If your story tallies with his own, you are on the right course to win.
Remember to tell the court that you spent over 1m trying to make the car work before you returned it. grin
Also remember all your dates and figures, date of purchase, date of return, date that new owner purchased. Don't get to court and be doing ehmmm when they ask you question.
