Pardon my ignorance. Bed space up is truly cheaper than down. NONNYG is perfectly correct. hank you for your observation.
And it is not compulsory you stay or live in a bedspace if you can afford the rent of a studio room or flat. I know people who live or stay alone in thier apartments even where I am presently putting up.
Your pocket defines your state of living in Dubai
Wow, you mean grown ass men living on a bunk bed like school kids? The hustle is real men grin grin

Since it's just a honeymoon for two, I wouldn't stay more than a week. I wouldn't mind a cheap but decent hotel accommodation and also be able to buy a few things. The last time I made enquiries years back at Churchgate towers, I gleaned that Emirates airlines and Etihad airways work as the defacto embassy for UAE in Nigeria and they were denying Nigerians below 30 years then visa.
Can you help me with the cost of visa for 7 days, flight cost (cheap airlines I can use because I discovered then that Emirates was expensive but while Etihad was cheaper, their final stop is Abu Dhabi while bus conveys passengers by road to Dubai). And finally, how much cheap hotel rooms can go for. Thanks for your help.

ok...7 days visa shouldn't be more than 50-70k,and regarding hotels i advice u check online maybe bookings.com or hotels.com and its better u book online and make payment, way cheaper than payment on arrival, hotels are usually very costly on weekends from Wednesday cause our weekends starts on Thursdays.
Getting a visa shouldn't be an issue ,am not sure they dont use dat age criteria again, see many girls here on tourist way younger than 30,as for your flight i advice Kenya,Rwanda,or even Egypt if you dont mind the stop overs and these options are way cheaper than emirates n etihad...

1million is much for 7days, but it would be good you take it along so you can explore more on your needs.

Brother, just take emirate direct so you don't have to take another bus from Abu Dhabi to Dubai, as you would be needing bus card and too many directives from people; if only you want to take cab which might be very expensive.

As for the hotel. I will suggest you book apartment- hotel, where there would be kitchen so your wife can always cook for you Inside the house, instead of eating junkies; plus it's more spacious and homely.

Cheers man

Why would u want to try to spook the security agents when u can just go to booking.com and book for free hotel. Use booking.com to book for hotel, show them, your problem is solved

Wow, 50-70k for visa is quite affordable I.e 140k for two at most. But since they don't have embassy here in Nigeria, can I apply for visa through airlines such as Kenya Egypt? I wouldn't mind the stop overs at all (would even prefer it so I can have a glimpse of those places as well).
About the age, that won't be an issue to me even if the policy is still in place because I'm now way older than 30. When I visited Churchgate was 2013.
Thanks for your information.

It's really encouraging to hear that a million naira is more than enough for 2 individuals on a 7 days trip. However, does it mean that tourists are exempted from having BTA with them?

Fairly priced tickets for two can go for between 350-450k, 2 weeks visa for both maybe about 110k tops, 7 nights in a not bad and reasonably priced hotel too can be achieved with between 140-200k and even cheaper depending on guests taste, location and all. That’s 600-770. They can have up to and much more than $1000 for the road (BTA) still from that 1m which could be enough or too small also, depending yet again on the travellers. I know sha, I can do a Dubai trip for two with a tight 800k budget and still not be left out to some extent....

BTA, is very important for travellers, whether you are traveling to your own country or another man's country.

The difference is just the amount in your possession. But in this case; I will advise you take as much as you can, so you can cover some unexpected expenses that might come your way. Na smile oyinbo dey take collect money. Virtually all you come in contact with, for transaction will take their share of your millions.

Pls someone should kindly help me solve this puzzle.

(1) For New comers planning to travel to Dubai seeking employment, should CV be prepared based on work experience in Nigeria or CV is not required to get a first time job?

2) Should CV be prepared while working in Dubai as you gain more work experience?

3) For those doing any menial jobs upon arrival in Dubai, can there apply for professional courses for 3months or 6months to enhance their chances of climbing the professional ladder with qualifications gotten In Dubai for better chances of getting better paying jobs?

U can simply search online if there are institutes that offer NEBOSH program in naija cos d certificate is internationally accepted. But for d cost, it all depends on the program u actually enroll for. Kindly check for details online via Google.
