For the Yorubas here, who says demeaning things about the Òrìsà and the tradition and the religion. You're naive. The Yoruba religion in my own opinion is the most tolerant and most civil religion in Nigeria. I bet the only reason Christianity and Islam grew base here is because of the great commission it has to spread the word, Soul winning they call it. But when it comes to understanding the environment, sociology, the person and nature of Olódùmarè, human life and spirituality. Christianity and Islam will line up behind the traditional religion. The "Orishas" are not Gods. There's only one true God we know, his name is Olódùmarè. Funny how Christianity claims Olódùmarè, rebrands Èṣù. Olódùmarè/Ọlọ́run/ Is not the God in the Bible, and Èṣù Is not the Devil/Satan. Oluiwa Is an attribute of Olódùmarè. Before the foreign religions came, we knew God, we had life, we had truth, we had morals, we had Heaven, we had Hell, we had blessings. They came in here to tell us, we are children of a lesser God. And you believed. Told us a story using our elements and you turned against your very own. Most of you only Know what Nollywood shows to you. No wonder you get scammed about the truth in reality. Before you condemn the religion, ask what does the Corpus say. Who is Orunmila, and what does God say about this act. Seeing the terrible news coming from Churches and the Moslem sects should I conclude Christianity and Islam is vain and just about that.
