No! It shows that Nigeria is a place you can get good upbringing and be socially acceptable.

Most if these western nations are technologically advanced but socially bankrupt.

We can learn tech things from them and teach them manners.
there are actually well brought up kids in the US, it is all about parenting
In naija, there are so many undisciplined kids here too...infact their matter tire me. It is all about parenting

Exactly and the mother in the US might likely be sanctioned if the girl tells the US embassy in Nigeria all she has gone through as a result of been brought back to Nigeria, if care is not taken she might be given out by the US government for adoption to another family if they think she will face further bad treatment from her biological mum

So all the rude and uncultured so called "adults" I meet here in Nigeria everyday where were they raised?
We Nigerians like to act like all the children raised here in Nigeria are responsible meanwhile we have a high crime rate.

This is actually a subtle insult and indictment on Nigeria. Here's why:

Her mum could easily have reported her to the police over there and they would have charged her with criminal assault.

Instead, her mum chose to send her back to Nigeria. It shows that in her mum's mind, being in Nigeria is a tougher punishment than making her face the American criminal justice system.

From what I hear, the American criminal justice system is not something you want to be dipping in lightly. Once they get involved, mom and daughter will be put into records for domestic violence, courts, lawyers, "family workers", and therapists will get involved, and daughter will never learn to appreciate or respect her mother, and the state may even go so far as to create an injuction separating the two - if the daughter were to request it (because she has a right to, and therapists may goad her in that direction).

In Nigeria, she will learn respect, appreciate hard work, and realize that she has a privilege she should not take for granted. After 3 years, her head will be a little less bloated, she will have some good cultural values. I think that's better than giving the girl a strike in the American system and labelling her a criminal.
