On 21/1 which happens to be my edd. Woke up around 1am to ease my self only to feel this sharp pain on my back. At first I thought it was just the normal pregnancy stuff. But it continued, then it dawned on me that labour has started. As time goes on it became more frequent and intense as soon as it hit me hubby helped to rub my back which help minimize the pain. Was visiting toilet at interval there I saw show. Hubby wanted us to go to hospital immediately but had to delay a bit as it was still late at night
Was able to manage it till around 4am when I couldn't take it again we called a neighbor and off we went to the hospital. On getting there, doctor was called but he didn't arrive on time, by then I was already In pains. As soon as he came In he ask me to climb the examination table before I could open my leg to do that water broke and he sent me to the delivery room immediately on getting there the nurses were still trying to set up things needed. I started shouting I want to poo, they started rushing and ask me to push at each contraction, I did after pushing countless time my handsome sunshine made his grand entry at 5am weighing 3.5kg my stomach was pressed and Placenta was delivered
Had tear was stitched and ask to breastfed him. After that stood up to position myself on the bed when blood gushed out. All the medical personnel rally round me again to find out the problem my stomach was pressed to remove the remaining blood clot. In all I give God all the glory for seeing me through. Against all odds he prove himself to be God over our situation.

I do not think you should be bothered so much about the EDD the late scan is giving. The EDD according to LMP and the first scan are usually more accurate. My EDD according to LMP was 17th of Jan, according to scan at 8 weeks was 21st of Jan, according to last scan at 36 weeks was 6th of Feb but I had my baby on the 10th of Jan as a ftm. I intended to start my mat.leave on the 16th but had to start the day I had my baby.

My fellow teamies how are we doing. .the frequent urination no be here. ..who else is having a hard time sleeping at night.the weather too hot abeg. .and the back and waist pain when I get up from laying down is serious oo. .not to mention how the baby is kicking stretching punching and moving especially at night. .they are so active at night mostly. . I can never trade the feeling of my baby for anything else in this world. ..no matter how uncomfortable it gets.. I have serious heart burn. .the ulcer de punish me this period .

Mothers please I need you oo. .I did a pcv test and it's low. .what can I do to boost it please? ..

Just pack all your toiletries, nightingale, cotton pads. That should be all you need. You can get provisions to snack on for VD.

Any mama here that has used Military Hospital PH, what are the things included in the delivery pack to be given to us? I know that baby clothes, toiletries won't be there.

You could try taking it by wrapping the drugs in swallow foods like eba and using it at night.

The most reliable EDD is the EDD gotten at the early first trimester. Secondly EDD is always plus or minus 2weeks which relate also with EGA.
For a scan to be a week less in GA shouldnt mean the baby is small for age.

Other factors to watch are what are the parameters measured each one gives a GA the average or approximate is what scan gives as GA. Whereas at the first trimester the baby is measure from head to toe which makes it more accurate. Always consider the human + operational factor.

In summary since the GA gotten is still within the plus or minus 2weeks the baby is relatively normal.

All through this pregnancy i was strong except for first trimester.. where i was very weak, sleepy and tired, couldn't eat too. second and third i was very active.

on the 13th of feb i felt some pain at the top of my stomach,it was coming on and off. i told hubby he said it contraction that it usually starts at the top, but my over sabi self told him that i didnt feel it there for my first child....so in the morning it stopped. btw, hubby is a medical Doctor. so in the morning i went to buy the things remaining for baby and ingredients for pepper soup...

At about 3am on 14th of feb ,i was awake surfing the net when i felt contraction (at my lower abdomen) i was like yes! this is the one i know.lol. after some time the pains increased and got up and started arranging my things ,when contraction hits i while run to from my parlour to dinning area, i will dance ,jump, anything just to relieve me....though the contraction was still bearable.

when it was almost 6am i had my bath with very hot water... hubby was on call at the hospital,so i called him to come meet me. when i got there they gave me bed checked me and said i was 4-5cm and the doctor broke my water.... and before i know i started having the urge to poo, a nurse came and check she said i was 8cm, and that she will come back soon....as soon as she left ,i shouted I WANT TO POO OOO. doctors and nurses started flying into the room, within seconds everything was set,the doctor checked and said i was 10cm and i should start pushing at the next contraction.

i pushed some few times and my baby girl came out screaming her lungs out weighing 3.2 kg. then placenta came out..

For your heart burns, use an antacid prescribed by the Dr, you don't have to suffer.

For the Pcv, be religious with your ferrous tabs, when my PCV was low, Dr said I should double the dosage and I saw a considerable increase in one week.

You can also try eating lots of green veggies especially straining garden egg leaves and drinking. Many preggies have confirmed it works.

Secondly, my nipple is blocked ontop with flesh. I remember when I wasn't preggy, It comes off by itself whenever I bath with hard sponge. I've been bathing with hard sponge but it no gree comot o and I was told milk will not flow if I don't remove it. Please, how do I remove d flesh too? Biko.

Also for blocked nipple it can me mopped with a warm water and small towel to open up the clogged nipple

Rbae coconut oil is preferable because some olive oil are already adulterated
