There is too much at stake for OGS to take such risks. He has not been assured the position beyond this season, your team is back in the hunt for the top 4 spots. It would be silly of OGS to use this time to transition youth/ academy players into the first team especially when you consider every game is a test for his candidacy for the job long term. There is too much at stake for OGS to take such risks.

Maybe if he is appointed beyond this season, he can focus on transitioning some of the academy players into the first team.

OGS was even considering bringing Chong on for Sanchez but changed his mind and brought Rashford on instead. It was a gamble he wasn’t willing to take. He made the right decision.
