Why is there so much hatred and aggression on this thread nowadays, make una calm down now. It wasn't like this before here and have been thinking to myself what could probably be the cause? Every single day, there must be an exchange of words. Let's learn to tolerate one another and above all be swift to hear but slow to speak.

Please are there unsafe pickup points.. If yes Wat are they.... I'm seriously thinking of going into this biz. Thanks

Safety wasn't the reason for not taking the trip, the rider may request I end the trip on getting to his destination and there is nothing I can do about that. Are there unsafe pickup points? Yes! Where? Follow ur instinct and discretion. My early days and d most scaring trip I ever took was ard 1am, I don't ever know my way, I was just depending on her direction from beach till we got to A Adesanya, she ask me to take d first exit and head straight down.... I was just seeing bushes on both side like I'm using ore - Benin road, picking her from the beach, compound me fear and she asking me not to worry but to reduce my speed grin made it worst. So, when you see 2 or 3 men, from 8pm requestioning from a bus stop, let your spirit lead you, no body really knows, its just grace.

I remember when I got a trip from FESTAC. This was around 8:00pm. I needed to get out of FESTAC with a trip, so I accepted. This was Taxify. Riders were two guys like that. Starting the trip, I saw Ajah as destination.
Me: "Guys, where in Ajah are we going?"
"Do you know Ogombo Road?”
Me: "Yes, I know Ogombo Road"
"Okay, we are going just a little bit down Ogombo Road"
Me: "Ok"

1 hour 20 minutes later, around 9:30pm, we were at Chevron when these guys told me their final destination was Atican Beach. Atican beach that I know like the back of my hands. I changed it for them immediately.
Me: "You guys didn't tell me Atican Beach is the final destination"
"But Atican Beach is in Ajah"
Me: "Ehen, I didn't know".
I just pulled by the side of 2nd toll gate, parked and ended the trip. Trip fare was #2800 or something.
Me: "I'm not going again, you guys should get down"
"How can you just end the trip like that without telling us? And you expect us to pay when you've not gotten us to our destination ... bla, bla, bla, bla, bla
Me: Don't worry about paying. I'm not collecting anything.

The guys just gentle. They were surprised.
Last last, they negotiated for me to take them to the front of A Adesanya so they can take Keke. They paid the #2800 in full.

Well it all depends on the condition of the car. 1m should take galant care of the shipping and clearing. But you could do better deals with 1.8m thereabouts

Please, is it advisable to buy Tokumbo cars already imported in Nigeria or to buy and ship down here.

I am asking because of the term "landing cost".

I tried buying a car from one of these auction sites through a nairaland agent.

The total calculated cost of having a 2007 Toyota corolla handed to me was 2.9-3M

Registration cost and other miscellaneous costs not included.

There was one that the total value on the Auction site was 900k but when the agent was done calculating everything to get the car to me, we ended at 2.6M

What could have happened? Which is the best?

Please help as I am planning on heading to Apapa next week to search for one to buy.

I understand that the cost here is between 1.9M-2.2M
