Some women calculate Ovulation period to get pregnant while do it to avoid getting preggy.

Nice � one op! But I think this calculation is limited to women of "child bearing age"whose cycle length=approx 30days! It must be fairly regular as well, I stand to be corrected .
A doc friend who helped me somewhile ago, put me thru some stuff may be u may trash it or find it useful.. He said "if u know ur cycle, it implies u should be having a regular cycle, but if u don't know ur cycle then to a large extent, Ur cycle is irregular. If u know ur cycle length pls ÷by 2. 3days before and 3daysafter the Value derived serves as ur fertile days.mid cycle spans between 10.5----17.5 days from the onset of menses.

So by safe you mean pregnancy prevention or STI prevention?

There is a brief description of how you can monitor your monthly cycle to Know your safe periods.

.1) From the first day you see your period, take a calendar and Mark 15 days, including the first day when you see the blood.

2.) Circle the 15 days on the calendar with Blue or Black ink.

3.) Now circle 3 days before the 15th day, and 3 days after the 15th day.

4.) Do this with a Red ink ( there are apps for this )

5.) You would notice there are 7days in Red/ Blue ink right ?

6.) Those are your most fertile days or ovulation periods.

7.) Meaning you are most likely to get pregnant if you have sex during these periods.

When it come to sex, your body can disappoint you like "amaka".

Safe sex is just a cliché. You can get preggy in your free period. If you like use Almighty formula and Pythgoras theorem

You can even get preggy while breastfeeding

This is not true for the following reasons :

Women have cycles of different lengths. Ovulation may occur at various times in the cycle. Ovulation may be induced by drugs. Some women may ovulate more than once in a cycle.

Besides getting pregnant is no longer a big deal. Catching an STD is the problem.

Cos this works for u doesn't name it will work for every other lady cos ur menstual cycle might be different!
