u don't pay for Toyota and get a Ferrari performance, if a phone can handle what it was meant to handle and perform well it's solid. I once used a Gionee M3 mini of 16k and it remains one of best I ever used despite being the cheapest smartphone I ever used.
I have handled a few phones at that price point and most cannot handle the basics without leaving you frustrated..

The word solid is not what comes to mind at that point, sure some are marginally better than others, but there is only so much an OEM can do at that cost..

The M3 mini may have served you well, but saying it cost you only 16k is misleading,as of when it launched in October 2015 the Naira was 200 to the Dollar..

Please I need clarity: Is it true that the redmi 6 pro battery lasts far better than the redmi note 5 AI?

my guy what do you want in a phone? Personally, I'd go for RN5ai, its far better and of course has tons of custom roms and development. And a better processor too. Just go for RN5ai. 70% of the active members on the tweaking thread are note5 users or former note5 users. So you will always have people to answer your questions, and the phone's thread on xda developers is bubbling with activities and support

I bought a memory card from AliExpress. Tecno phone was showing it is a Samsung memory card whereas it is not. What could be the cause?

It might actually be a Samsung memory card that was rebranded. Not all companies have semiconductor factories so they buy from the big players and rebrand

Umm so Mixza is another Samsung brand in disguise. It is quite revealing.

ahh gionee m3mini was a dope phone, the thread on nairaland then was bubbling with cheats, games and stuff. M3mini was hitting far above its height but xiaomi phones have let us get used to a phone being cheap but offering so much. But what is good for you may not be good for me.

well there is no xiaomi phone with 5000mah battery at that price. But you can go for redmi note 5ai, the battery is 4000mah, it will definitely get android 9 and there are so many custom roms for it. And we all know that sd636 is a worthy performer. Or you add money and get redmi note 6 pro or note 7. I just have school if not I would have ordered for a note 7 since
Bro..which is better...between note 5 , note 5 pro and note 5AI...in terms of processor, camera, battery,
etc and may be other additional features where one of em lacks and the other has it ....someone said note five is better

Dem go cast las las. No champion forever. It was once Nokia, then Samsung and now Pixel. Huawei is challenging them small small sef.
And remember there's still a niche for iPhone
Pixel is just camera king of 2018, not even phone of the year on any forum. No phone has a hegemony on the market now

my man don't give yourself headache, redmi note 5 pro is the same redmi note 5ai and its for China, its the one on aliexpress and the one traders on nairaland have. The same processor, same battery and same camera. And its a cool phone, it will get android 9 before the 2nd quarter runs out and it has an extensive developer community on miui forum, xda developers, github, nairaland and xiaomi.eu fora. So your good.

I was actually lucky to meet someone that ordered for some Xiaomi phones in Jos. He was also kind enough to bring it to me in KD, but i paid for his TP.

With 60k you will get a good Xiaomi. But you have to be patient keep looking, if you dont want to order it.

Yes. Why? Because of the smaller screen and more frugal chipset on the Redmi 6 pro compared to the Note 5 AI.

Which would I take? The Note 5 AI. Why? It's just the better all round device; no contest! wink

Thanks boss. But the RN6 pro has a bigger screen of 19:9 compared to RN 5 pro of 18:9

Hope you are not mixing up Redmi 6 pro and the Redmi Note 6 pro?
Redmi 6 pro is 5.84" with 19:9 aspect ratio because of the notch Snapdragon 625
Then
Redmi Note 6 pro 6.24" with 19:9 aspect ratio also with a notch Snapdragon 636

Then Redmi Note 5 AI 5.99" 18:9 NO Notch Snapdragon 636

I've got the AKGs and I'm quite impressed by the sound output. I had to get thmlem because no one was stocking UiiSiis and Rocks. I wonder how the Rock would sound.

I have heard the UiiSii HM7 and yeah, they sound perfect. Bass has definition. You feel the sublevels especially when you cycle through queued music. Also, the bass note seems to be unique to each music, and not the same throughout the playlist. The mids, highs etc are also unique to each song giving each their own characteristics. And all can be heard without Viper4android doing its thing in the background.

Unfortunately, it wasn't mine so I had to sadly return it to the owner.

I am wondering why Protein0 and co aren't stocking those. Maybe 5 or 10 pieces depending on demand. Anyways, I'll be using my AKGs till then.

EDIT: Slot sells original AKGs but without the pouches it normally comes with. Got mine for 3k...after wasting some cash on Jumia.
