The issue is multifaceted. The states need to fund it through taxes. The easiest way to do that would be through property taxes. Parents have to take an active role in the kids education. That means watching how the school board spends money.

The next step is to start regulating Almajari and prosecuting parents. Institute compulsory attendance and prosecute for truancy. I would say abolishing it but I doubt that'll happen.

Ps: check out Ndi Kato she's 28 and running for Kaduna state house of assembly under PDP. She's willing to tackle Almajari issue.
