Living witness to what? To fake rubbish?

You posted a picture of innocent men minding their business, but according to you, they are begging and washing money.

Where is the begging in the picture?

Where is the washing in the picture?

What is the washing bucket, pan, soap, water and the money they washed?

Stop shifting the goal post. I stopped giving those idiots money 10yrs ago. Why can't they go and work? They even reject job offers. They prefer to beg.

What baffles me more is the aged amongst them. I usually wonder if they have been begging from the beginning or whether what... I just don't know.

In my place, we care for the aged. Why do your people abandon your aged on the streets to beg?

Instead of barking up the wrong over a spectacle you created, begin now to look inwards...if you don't like the situation that is.

Hahahahaha...Baba Egba himself! grin

I love Egba people. I nearly married an Egba man from Abeokuta but his mother would have none of that because I was Igbo. She preferred the girl from Edo state her son dumped for me.

After much harassments from her, I dumped her son! grin

Her son had no choice than to obey his mother and went back to his ex.

Few months later she became pregnant and a wedding plan started...

Two weeks to the wedding, the lady summoned a family meeting from both sides to drop a bombshell!

She told all seated that Segun was not the owner of her pregnancy and she was sorry it turned out that way. grin

Segun's mum could not contain the shame.

Wedding cancelled...Segun devastated!

Few months down the line, Segun lost his job and could not secure another immediately.

My brother... he told me later when we ran into each other that his predicament was caused by his sleeping with a pregnant woman whose pregnancy was not his. Just like sleeping with another man's wife. grin

That was the beginning of depression and downfall of a once promising young man!

I felt genuinely sorry for him, but I was already engaged to marry my darling husband!

Segun never recorvered from his loss till date!

Yes he's married with children now, but he didn't end up well and has relocated to the family house in Abeokuta leaving his wife and kids in Lagos.

Ethnic hatred....

I'm surprised some people still think like that. There are two ibos in my family, my cousin married an ibo woman,a gem of a woman very nice ,loyal and a good Christian. My niece on the other hand married an ibo man and he is a disappointment to say the least. One out of two is not too bad I suppose..For some reason the apc versus pdp always bring out the worst in both tribes

As a Christian, giving is important. Dnt be deceived by rumors, keep giving so as to have more spiritually in the other world.

So if Dangote gives them money, are you saying dey will collect his destiny?

like wise wizkid, davido, warran buffet, carlos helu and the rest.

It is good to give, don't hesitate to stop giving.

Nigeria nollywood had done more harm to many Nigerians in such a way they believe what they have watched.

A lady was complaining about rats in her home, I told her to get a cat and all the rats would be off her home, she replied,"over my dead body, don't you watch Nigeria movie how cat are witches and wizard? "

I replied, "don't you watch Hollywood and see how cat is man's best friend."

Be led by Christ's inspiration to give, no harm shall come near you as you give prayerfully in fulfillment of God's scriptures like the good Samaritan cheesy
When you truly discover God,you don't discriminate in showing warm heartedness, compassion and affection, while holding on firmly to your faith no matter what.

ALL RELIGIOUS LEADERS OWE IT A DUTY TO THEIR CONGREGATIONS TO TEACH them warm heartedness, compassion and affection, those are the major omissions in sermons in this part of the world.

Like I always say "What you sermonize becomes a sermon, conversely what you demonize becomes a demon to you." Happi SUNday all. grin

Lying Igbos..

I live at Agege, and I've seen a beggar washing money with a white powder. The incident happened at Oke koto, d narrow road beside Mosco Hotels, Adenle street. I initially thought it was for ritual purposes, until someone told me it was to cleanse d kafir touch on d monies (a kind of spiritual cleansing)
I vowed never to give my hard earned money to a northern beggar since then

Why won't you vilify these folks.

Most people keying into this "won't give beggars" trend have barely given a beggar more than 50 naira at a blow.

Not here to discredit anyone but how many of us have given a beggar more than 200 naira at a go.

When I say beggar it includes cooperate beggar.

If you live in any high brow neighborhood in Abuja you know what I am talking about.

Suddenly you feel like a demi god cos of the 10 .. 10 kobo you give beggars. I mean no disrespect.. just saying.

PS: I give hundreds and thousands very often; just like I believe Xmas and Salah are celebrations to make the poor and weak happy.

If your successful.. everyday is a good day.. God Willing.

Why are you not seeing it from her angle. Why wash money given to you? As for me and my household no free money to street beggars. I stopped about a decade ago.

What about others who have seen and experienced it??

Between a Christian who probably works for his money and has enough to give out to a total stranger willingly and a lazy uneducated Muslim beggar who washes money he believes to be defiled, who is actually evil and has zero love in his or her heart between the two of them??

You are full of hate, that is why it's easy for you to believe any ridiculous thing you hear.My father is from Kogi state,so half of my family are Christians.I live in North all my life,i never seen nor heard of any such thing in my life.I am a Muslim and a business owner myself,my customers include people of all faith. And when i received money from a person, there is no different in the money.Who ever is cooking this lies, that person is an ignorant low life.Cause he have very little knowledge on Islam. We are allowed to interact with people of other faith in our religion,we are even allow to marry them.I don't know what the person that started this lies is hoping to get out of it.

I spend a lot of time btw Abj and Lagos. I have met beggars from each major ethnic group. I just left the church and every beggar in front of that church is a Christian. Why do we have Christian beggars if the so called "Christian Southerner" is so generous and successful?

Secondly, when you give a southern beggar money aren't constantly asking is this person a "beggar or ritualist"?

Why should the FG write to me. What is her responsibilities? It is you that is useless. You don't create problems and expect others to fix it for you. Just this morning a boy whose father have 18 non productive children have come knocking at my door for alms. The North should look inward and help herself. The cycle of poverty might not end anytime soon and the poor would one day revolt.
