Before the fall of man, man had no knowledge of what sin was because he was “dead” to sin. He had no knowledge of what was good and evil and thus was always right before God. When he ate the forbidden fruit, he now had that knowledge and thus had to tailor his every action towards good which was impossible. As a result he lost favour with God.

The story of Adam and Eve is a myth. A myth to explain how things started at the beginning and establish the idea that the woman is inferior to man, a helper of man and a derivative of man. Abrahamic religions were formulated when men were misogynistic and many of the scriptural laws were a reflection of what these men thought at that time.
