This might be a deviation from the subject matter but it still tow the same line.

Has anyone heard of FXTM?. On the platfrom you deposit as low as 100$ and they help you trade with the money and you get returns on it. Anybody heard of it?

Hard truth.

With the sudden nose diving of treasury bills rate we all should expect money market funds to follow soon.

You may want to consider other mutual funds

Could u give examples of equity based mutual funds

freeman67:
Like dammybrite suggested below you should diversify. While it is very true that you can double, triple or even quadruple you fund in the stock market if you are well grounded and lucky, it is also very possible to loose everything if you do not have the know how and the luck. You can just divide the money and invest like One Million in TB, One Million in MMF and One Million in Equity based Mutual Fund. You can also divide the money into 2 and invest like half in stock and the rest in mutual fund. If you are good with stock just get a good dividend paying stock that can also appreciate too. I believe at retirement your investment would have appreciated.

Basically must of the mutual funds are named base on their asset allocation. depends on your choice and level of risk tolerance you can invest in any. check any of the investment outfit or banks sites - Investment one, IBTC, FBN Quest, Zenith etc the funds are described. Considering the fact you are new. I will advice you to start with MMF with very little or no risk. When you have gathered experience and adequate knowledge you can do a more riskier investment options

Redemption is usually done online. The money is paid into the bank account provided while opening the
mutual fund account.

It shouldn't take more than two days.
