It is well. I have learnt my lesson in a bitter way. If I would ever need to apply for a visa to south Africa, never will it be at Lagos.
Look at the medical insurance we paid for, wasting away.

You can write the medical aid provider to deffer the activation of your medical insurance until you arrive in SA. Attach evidence that your visa is yet to be issued.

I am not so sure how well that would work, (I mean the medical aid provider) anyway, this is the information on the Momentum Health letter Momentum is a medical aid provider)

Membership Cover
Your medical cover starts on the date indicated on your confirmation letter, whether you have arrived in South
Africa or not.
Please note: Should you not be able to begin your studies as planned, Momentum Health requires one
month notice prior to your start date. The notice period applies to cancellation of your membership or a
change in membership dates where studies have been deferred. We need the following to process your
change request:
• A letter from the academic institution confirming study changes, OR
• A letter from the South African Embassy confirming that your study permit has been declined

I dont understand what useless, inhuman system these people operate there. I have applied for a withdrawal since thursday and these people have refused returning my passport. Is it by force? I have no interest in going to their country again and its still a problem for them. I went to vfs global today and they said maybe it was ommitted and they will include it when they get there. I have not received any email till now meaning these people have not found my passport and application till now. What do i do please. I have been in lagos since Wednesday, and i need to go back to my base and resume work. I am confused. I just need my passport returned. What sort of rubbish is this?

What specific application are you referring to here? Is it application for a research Masters with UKZN or study visa application?
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by adespecial: 9:26pm On Mar 05, 2019

Not all the lecturers are informed about admission and application process. So follow the instructions of the lecturer that asked for application package to be forwarded to you

I summited on the 9th of January 2019, all I did was to be patient, since I submitted it my self I knew it would be released one day, at a time, I began to pray for it, even in my morning and night prayers .
The extra thing I did was sending mail to vfs, telling them when I submitted, stating my passport number and Ref number.
I got a mail back telling me that once my visa is processed, I will be notified.

I also have the premonitions that these people misplaced some old applications. Or probably just abandoned them somewhere and are focused on the new applications.

How can I explain the fact that January applicants are getting their passport while October and November applicants are still expecting theirs.

When did you apply for the visa?
