Atimes when you read people's comments you just wonder the kind of education we are exposed to in this country. The way people think has been so influenced and battered by stupid sentiments. When someone votes a candidate in an election, he is imposing such candidate. Between APC and PDP, can you prove that no Yoruba man will vote for PDP and no Igbo man will vote for APC? Why turn a clear political contest into an ethnic war because we allow politicians to lead every narrative in this country which is influenced by their selfish interests. Is Jimi Agbaje or Sanwo Olu from Igbo tribe? Please pause this foolishness and vote for your candidate. We made all this noise about Ambode, today the same people that threatened those who voted against Ambode turned around four years later to declare Ambode a non-performer. Today it is Sanwo Olu and the same drum continues. Whether Jimi Agbaje or Sanwo Olu wins, the common man in the street which comprises Igbo and Yoruba will be subjected to same conditions: Facing traffic and contention with tankers on the bridge; brunt of bad and poorly patched roads, menace of poor drainage systems and waste management flaws; harassment from legalized and government sponsored Agberos; poor transportation system etc. etc. These are not forming the basis for assessing the candidates, rather it is about the person the Igbos support and the one that the Yorubas should support and about who owns the land and who is a stranger. In all these the politicians have a field day, the contest is made easy for them, they are not called to sweat to even think of any policy to sell to the people. Just grandstand that you are the Yoruba candidate or that you are sympathetic to the Igbos and the war starts in that line. In the current APC government, both the Yorubas and the Igbos have become billionaires. There is no tribal difference when they eat together but the suffering masses kit themselves to fight for them along tribal lines. The masses are the enemies of themselves. Shame on all of us!!!!!!!!!

And why should we shut up? Because we don't have a right to talk or campaign for our own candidates? This is the 21st century but some of you reason as if you are in the stone ages. If my memory serves me right Hausas and Yorubas have clashed on many occasions in Mile 12, Idi Araba, Ajegunle, Agege, obalende, sagamu e.t.c where thousands have perished on both sides. You guys also fought a bloody battle with the Ijaws at ajegunle but not once have igbos fought with Yorubas in the south west. So if you're talking about those living peacefully with their hosts, it is the igbos. All these tension is just because some archaic people think that igbos don't have a right to vote for candidates of their own choice just because they are not in their own homeland. Well I'll tell you that anyone who sees igbos voting and campaigning for their own choice of candidates in an election as a sign of hatred is just an archaic fool with an outdated mentality.
