If you criticise doctors or the profession in Nigeria, doctors will say you are jealous of the medical professionals and every negative criticism is false because doctors are professionals filled integrity and can do no wrong. I opened a thread trying to inquire about sexual harassment in the medical community and I was met with mild aggression by certain dingbats and doctors. They accused me of watching too much porn and being jealous of the medical profession. To them, doctors and nurses can simply do no wrong.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Tony Anyasador, who died in the early hours of yesterday March 7th after battling an undisclosed ailment, was really due to the poor medical team and facilities. Gistvic Reports.

He was on admission in a hospital in Federal Medical Center (FMC) Owerri, Imo state where he died.

Don't always believe everything you hear,that is a CT SCAN Machine there..

Whatever was wrong with him must have been managed for a while or a he had a severe acute episode of an ILLNESS,for him to have been scheduled for a CT SCAN..

Instead of blaming Doctors,blame poverty and the people that contributed to making this nation a SHITHOLE..

One problem I have with these kind of stories is that they always seem to blame the doctor or nurse for being too slow. We don't get information about what kind of illness the actor had, or things like how long between when he slumped and when he got to hospital, and so on. All we hear is 'doctor bad', and at the end of the day, the whole profession is judged.

Until there is some sort of inquest, I am going to say that whatever killed the man, it was not negligence.

The fact that they were rushing him to a CT or MRI scan machine tells me that most likely (this is a wild guess, I don't have access to his files, nor do I know his condition)... he had a bleed in the brain. But that is just speculation anyway. If I am right, then there was a high chance that there was nothing no one could have done.

But that's just speculation, so until we see the results of a proper investigation, we should not rush to justice. I know some doctors are bad. I also know the limitations we deal with everyday.

For the fact that they even attended to him within an hour. Things have gone from bad to worst in our health sector in general.

So, if you DIE at 41 years,you more than fulfilled your alloted life span?

The problem with Nigerians is that they don't take their health seriously.

Someone will be sick, instead of seeing medical personnel they'll be patronizing quack "chemist" stores( they won't even go to pharmacist o who is trained enough to know when to refer to medical doctors).

They'll be "mixing" under dose and sometimes overdose of drugs and playing trial and error with their lives until condition becomes critical. Then when they are rushed to the hospitals at that critical point they expect miracles to happen.

Nigerians!!! Stop forming "doctor" when you are sick! Even trained healthcare professionals go to their colleagues to treat them, let alone laymen! Ask yourselves why many of our professors and enlightened men live to old age and even look healthier and stronger! They know the importance of getting proper medical care from trained professionals!

Nigerian government needs to place a ban on self medication and this can be achieved by outlawing patent medicine dealership. Those guys don't observe any protocols in giving out drugs to just anybody.

When will Nigeria ever get things right like other countries of the world
