PDP Governorship Candidate, Seyi Makinde has emerged winner of the Oyo state gubernatorial election.

He polled 515,621 votes to defeat Adebayo Adelabu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who polled 357,982 votes.

The results of all the 33 local government areas of the state were announced at the collation center of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ibadan, the state, capital.

Perhaps they are rigging. Do you know that PDP also rigged in Delta state? My friend who is an adhoc staff was paid N100,000 to thumb print while the inec staff got N1,000,000. Results were rigged in favour of the incumbent. This was done through thumb printing

we need free fair elections in Nigeria this nonsense of here na pdp or apc strong hold is blatant lie and bullshit....i was suprised pdp won abia...i mean look at what happened in oyo...even reports from Kano...nawa

Which other REC? The only person empowered by the electoral law to declare results is the returning officer who had done just that. It's done-Seyi is the Governor-elect. The loser(s) may decide to accept or reject the results so declared and so at liberty to seek redress through the tribunal. With the Oyo gubernatorial poll, I can vouch, the man won the peoples mandate. Congratulations to the people's Governor.

It remains to be seen whether Makinde will deliver. He rode to power on the back of too many tigers for comfort and he’ll be preoccupied with the battle to ensure he doesn’t end up in their stomachs. Sadly, governance for the benefit of the people will suffer a setback.

Delta State is a lost cause in terms of elections. They have been rigging since the time of Eric Opia.
