Good Evening my people

If VO ask the question:
Why did you apply to all these schools? What are the best reasons one can give.

I said this in my last interview: They all have low faculty to student ratio, which means faculty members can spend more time working individually with students.

Tell him/her the real reason behind your decision to apply. I really don't see anything wrong with the answer you gave in your last interview though.

Please find better reason..... what u just mentioned is standard across all school so really this is not an edge why you choose a school.

What if I give this as a reason

They all have a standard Development Economics research activity. My choice of these schools was because I have a huge passion for Development Economics and it has been proven by the ancient Economists that a professional and practical knowledge of research in Development Economics trend with full implementation is instrumental to the development and growth of an underdeveloped and a developing nations which Nigeria and most African countries falls under. The four schools offer Development Economics in the age of globalization. Also they all have a standard econometric lab for economic research which is majorly centered on Development Economics.

I just think you should make the response more personal. More like it was scrapped off of Google n the school's website or some grad school forum.

This response looks like it was generated by an AI machine. It is good, but it is not personal to you.

By the way, I see some vague words. The words are big but carry little weight

"Development n economics" we're used too many times, I believe it will confuse the VO. And I don't think any VO will allow you "bully" your way through the interview.

Kindly note that the VO most likely knows NOTHING about economics. Na scope them sef dey use. So, you might want to bring the English to their level, otherwise, they feel intimidated.

Perhaps, you should break down the sentences, it's a lot to swallow in its current state.

Also, what happens if the VO snaps you at the middle before you finish talking? Perhaps, u should prepare for that too.

Just a general side observation, why do we usually tend to paint Africa poor in SOPs or interviews?

Really, no hard feelings. Good luck.

It a bit too broad to be answered ... and there many times of survival: emotional, financial etc.

I think most people just go with the flow and word of mouth when they get there... you can find some good people that will point u to the right direction. Although some wrong direction dey too. There really no survival guide, your eye will just open one kind and u see what you are suppose to see
I appreciate ma.....

thank you for ur prompt response. Family was indicated as sponsor. I already have work experience for management track of the program in banking and experience in a courier firm for the supply chain. I am hoping that would be enough to switch careers. I honestly don’t want to use Oluwole statement. However accounts from A Dad or Mom I believe has an edge over distant family members.

Hi,

Did you secure funding for this program or are you self-sponsored?

Good day house,
I have been a silent follower of the forum for a while now but I was not prepared to kick start my masters degree yet.
I started my application to Wichita state Univeristy for a Masters Degree in Management and Supply Chain Chain with STEM and 3 yrs option of OPT after graduation. I have 2 years work experience with the Banking industry , a year in an IT related firm and 6months with a Courier service provider. I am 25 years of age. The have been offered admission and have been issued the 1-20 already. However I have a few setbacks my First Degree is science related and different from what I am applying. Does my Work experience give me a better chance? Does the US embassy verify account statements? I have some savings but it would not be enough but I want to use one of my clients Accounts Deets as a family sponsor.
I would really love Experienced individuals on the forum to give thier candid undiluted and blunt review of my case. P.S I have intentionally not filled my Ds-160 form yet
I thought Wichita requires Nigeria Students to pay 7000dollars before i-20 form. Is this true?

So for those interested in coming to Sulross, the application deadline for Fall 2019 is April 1st. The tuition fees am paying is about $5200, with my GA job i can easily pay this up and do other things. For more enquiries send a mail to aao17ep@sulross.edu
