Following the viral tweet of one Miss Taiwo, who allegedly blasted her interviewee for complimenting her after the interview because she smelled nice, another lady has shared her experience with her interviewer in the US. The lady identified as Kynene Oma, while reacting to Taiwo's viral tweet, mentioned that she was wowed by the bracelet her interviewer wore and she compliment her for it. The interviewer not only said valued the good words, but also got one for her after she resumed work at the office. See her tweet: My first interview in the US, I told her I liked her bracelets. She said she got them from Etsy and that she would get me some. 2nd week on the job, she gave me bracelets. See, this interview thing is not judgement day. You Nigerians need to stop tighting your chest https://lailasnews.com/another-lady-shares-experience-with-her-interviewer/ 12 Likes 2 Shares

Ms. Taiwo don't understand English. She understood the smell to be smell smell without putting into consideration the word nice. Some women are just too confused, you compliment her, you have started catching feeling. You don't compliment, you are rude. 143 Likes 9 Shares |

I've learnt one thing on Twitter. in fact I call it the golden rule: 'whatever you tweet, let it not appear to bash Nigerians or Nigeria. they will come for your head' ask Ghanaians, Kenyans and Taiwo (you smell nicely) 73 Likes 1 Share |

That's different.... Telling someone they smell nice is kind of flirtatious and thus unprofessional, especially if it's an interview setting. Maybe he meant it innocently sha but it is definitely no reason for the lady to overreact. Nigerian interviewers can sha like to feel like assistant gods. 60 Likes |

Most Nigerian ladies are unnecessary dumb and foolish Cos she was in a position to interview him,she felt like a small good What could have happened if she had just spilled and said thank you...but noooo she wants to flaunt it in his face that she has power and capable and won't hesitate to use it,feminist oshii 105 Likes 2 Shares |

Khd95:This is not true bro, and you know it. Stop making hateful remarks like this and unfounded generalization as this is nauseating. Khd95:That girl no just get sense. She's prolly a new feminist recruit and believe me she would have smiled with a thank you if the job seeker was a lady but being a feminist, she feels good putting hurting a man's feelings. The idiot has forgotten that she was a job seeker once and there's no job security in Nigeria so she can be a job seeker tomorrow. Do I blame her? Yes, but she's not alone. Most interviewers in Nigeria feel like deputy Jesus. 77 Likes 2 Shares |

I was shocked when one idiotic HRM lady posted on LinkedIn that she interviewed an applicant. At the end of the interview, the applicant complimented her, saying her outfit was fine. The lady said that the remark was 'insulting.' As a result, she never considered the applicant for the job. I was so pissed after reading it. Those stupid HR personnel, whose role can be performed by anyone, always feel like demigod. Anyway, I thank God I am self-employed 9 Likes 1 Share |

We have a lot of educated illiterates in Nigeira, if someone complement the way you smell dosent mean the person is sexualizing you..a white man visited my office to see my boss, I don't know him from Adams but I complemented his tuxedo.. He smiled and asked me, you like. I said yes Two months later he traveled back to canada and came back with four pairs of tuxedo and brought them to me personally, I lost words to appreciating him. He just smiled and left. This is sane people, not hypocritical black backward mofos that claim they know Sh!t.. 60 Likes 5 Shares |
