My mum was the one buying a car but at the interview I did not tell the vo I had complications
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Niksie: 10:16am On Mar 12, 2019
i really doubt the all-inclusive bill can be that low too but what do i know? some do pay only part of whatever total bill they have accumulated and lock up. Those outstanding bills might have since been sent to collection agency or even a case of transferring to insurance these VOs are talking about now.

Greatg0809:

Okay first Dnt use agent again
Try call the hospital and ask if you have pending bill
I doubt if your total bill plus ped plus doc is $1050 plus complications u had
See how u can clear d old bill if there’s any before u reapply

Stay woke guys....

Actually wanted to ask yesterday at what time in all of her posts you read that she paid higher? I could see she didn’t know the implication of using that term “I had complications” vis-à-vis US child birthing. Now, we see how much she paid in all her 5 months stay, complications coupled with having a family member in the US (if she “mistakenly” get on US soil again, the likelihood of her not exiting is very high now IMO), one can almost advise her to kiss US bye, but what do we know, EVERYTHING IS POSSIBL.
Pls can u advise me on what to n the meaning of pink paper

I have been a silent reader of this thread and it has been extremely helpful in guiding me as i prepare for my baby’s birth in the US. I decided to share my interview with the VO:
VO: good afternoon, passport please. Why r u going to the US?
Me: afternoon. To have my baby. Hands over passport
VO: where else have you travelled to?
Me: UK, SA, dubai, Mauritius etc
VO: for holiday?
Me: Not only. School, work.
VO: ok. So where will you be staying in the US and do you have your doctor’s documents?
ME: will be staying with an uncle in Chicago. Hands over doctor’s correspondence and budget sheet over. I had a budget of about $12k for medicals.
VO: ok. Reviews docs. Looks at a list on her wall seems to be a list of procing for medicals across cities. So what do you do and how much do you earn per month.
Me: tells her.
VO: thank you. You have been approved for a visa and you can pick up in 3 days at VI. Also please beware of discounts when you go as this might affect your duture chances of renewing your visa.

I thank her, say i have seen that in some of my research and will do well to heed her warning.

She wishes me well with the baby and i leave. This was over in 5 minutes.

It seems this discount issue is a big deal. And intwreatingly, all the hospitals i have contacted have. Discount for self pay patients. The only one who didnt was quoting $50k.

Not sure what to do but will wait till 2 years time to worry.

Now waiting for my POE

Hello house, thank you so so much for this beautiful thread and those who keep it alive and informative.
So hubby and I are renewing via Dropbox. He finished his application and got to the part that says ‘start family application’ or ‘start new application’. He was to click on ‘ start family application to include mine yea? But somehow the internet was so poor that moment and he lost the page. Now we are finding it hard navigating back there, what do we do and we always apply together as a family.
Please I need help, maybe someone has had that experience before.

No one wants to help with a response?. Maybe he should abandon the first application and start another.

Congrats to you on a successful outing, big ups!

@the bolded; “discounts” specifically or “Medicaid”? Just double checking please....

Is it not 214(b) wahala that the paper is about? Whether white paper oh, blue oh, pink oh, or any other color, it’s the content that matters, color makes no difference as that could just have been the available color of paper to use. Meanwhile, what was your Brother’s part during the interview, was he not asked questions or admonished too?

Better worry now. Stay away from discount. With that quote of 12k, you will get good hospitals in maryland without disckunts or at most 1 or 2 percent discounts.

Change of Intent letter officially died.

The next basis that will be used in the future for denying visas will be that mamas indicated one doctor and hospital at interview. I would even guess that some discount is fine (as it's a normal part of doing business) but they worry when it's significant (60%...75% etc)

Already it's clear they have a list they are looking at with estimated costs per state and most times approve on this basis.

Also in the past ladies could attend interviews back to back and maybe get successful in the 3rd or 4th try. ...from what I've heard now even attending an interview less than 6 months from your last refusal (however you got the date) is a red flag and automatic rejection because in theory you should not have been able to schedule an interview if the portal questions were answered correctly.

What aye88 said! Especially as VO mentioned it explicitly.

Also you may want to stay away from Chicago POE...maybe do JFK and connect locally.

There will be no easing up on the visa front because we continue to make things difficult for each other and ourselves.

Sigh undecided

@yettyolaseni, in my opinion, I think the Houston Methodist locations have different prices. The one from @greatg0809 is a different location (the medical centre location which is even different to the sugarland's) to yours at Katy. Also Dr F gives a different one for Sugarland location.

Morning house, I got a visa 2 years ago and things came up, I couldn’t use it since. Now I’m booked to travel by may. I want to give brith in America but I’m not pregnant yet, now I know my visa will expire shortly before I’m due all things being equal. If my visa is expiring November and I’m to give birth dec or early January, how do I go about that?

Plz I would appreciate answers as I don’t want to do anything to jeopardize future travels, thanks.
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by drafrican: 9:29am On Mar 13, 2019
My sister i am pulling ur ears now
Go for holiday and come back now before u concieve.
Then after coming back apply for a birthing visa with a bill of 10/12k and sail smoothly.
Change of intent = cancelled visa
Holiday visa ised for birthing = no visa renewal
Failure to use visa will only be valid if u have a healthy travel history if not use it jeje

Please guys quick response..My friend applied for visa via drop box in November but was invited for interview in December. She finally got a date for the 14th of March. The purpose of her trip is vacation/attend a wedding...A few days ago she found out she is pregnant and her interview being so close she started contacting hospitals but yet to get a correspondence given that she found out barely a week to her interview. Her purpose of visit remains valid as she still plans to go for the wedding in May but now that she is a few weeks pregnant, the story has changed...What can she do given her close interview date...

Secondly has anyone gotten date recently for interview..I am still unable to get a date o..Its been 1 month now..I have written and called but still discretion response

I hope you read the attached 221g document/letter through very well to see whether you were required to book an interview appointment or just to make some documents/information available via the DHL.
Some people said they only sent document not asked to present self for another interview.
