I have never stated that any part of Nigeria is less or more developed than the other because of the same reason I stated in the post you quoted.

I don't measure development based on prices of real estate because to me, the entire country is a shithole.

If you look at the East, virtually everything they have accomplished has been by internal efforts, reason why they developed the one of the world's greatest venture capitalist model revered by a renowned TedX speaker in the form of apprenticeship... Not even your Ibadan or Southwest comes close to that in terms of uplifting their fellow Yorubas... And you know it.

If I may ask you, imagine Ibadan destroyed to rumbles and ashes today, do you see your region rising to the level of the SE within the timeframe they have risen after the war with virtually no traces of war?

During the war, they manufactured their own machines and bombs to combat the Nigerian army, the Built their own airport

First, we have different types of settlement.

Compact settlements
Semi-compact Settlement
Dispersed Settlement

Yorubas practice, Compact settlement where everybody have to come together, develop a space and cohabit.

The rest of other places are left underdeveloped. Example is Kobape in Ogun state, the indigenous people aren't up to 1000, Benueans (Igede) have out numbered the Yorubas there by ratio of 4:1.
The indigenous village doesn't have more than 15 mud houses inhabited mainly by Cotounues.

Igbos on the other hand practice, Dispersed Settlement. In this type of settlement every clan is allowed to settle down according to her nouns and values. It helps in development.
Example, Nnewi, Oba, Nkpor... Are technique villages, but is more developed than Ogbomoso.

You're right Igbos didn't have houses when Yorubas were building houses.

Trust me, Americans, Britains and Indians haven't started building when Yorubas started making houses. Most houses in London where 18 century houses, yet they aren't brown roofs, question! Did Yorubas started building before Britain?

Secondly, In the East people demolish property when they feel it's obsolete. You can keep the whole of Ibadan, Osogbo, Akure, Abeokuta and Ogbomoso as Museum.

Tech? What do you call tech? Web Programmers and software developers? I could agree in that but that is where it ends. Tech is so broad that no Nigerian region has covered 1/4.

When I dey Maiduguri, I dey primary 5 that time. That Sambisa forest wey Shekau and his Boko boys don turn to their base now, used be a Government reserved area. Hunters are not allowed to hunt there. There used to be varieties of wild animals there. Even Lions, tigers, elephants and other wild animals are found dip in the forest. Me and my friends used to go for hunting of rabbits, squirrels and Antelopes in that Sambisa forest then (not dip inside the forest though). We go with hunting dogs, we do that for the adventure not really for the meat.
Damaturu also used to have a Government reserved area like Sambisa forest, but it's not as big as Sambisa forest.

E good to travel, you get to learn alot about other people's culture and their ways of life.
