First of all I am not a Barca fan,I'm a man u fan so by default I should prefer Ronaldo and I once did,in fact I hated Messi before for obvious reasons,beating my club man utd in the champions league final twice and beating my country in the Olympics and world cup and I also like Madrid so that means I hate Barca but now that I'm more matured and less sentimental I can tell u that Messi is probably the greatest footballer of all time.
The reason you have people saying Ronaldo is better is purelt because of sentiments nothing else,I also love Ronaldo he is an outstanding player and like I said he is a great finisher and it happens that whenever the Messi Ronaldo argument comes up the only thing that Ronaldo fans use is the goals he has scored and sometimes the quality of the goals,in terms of that both are equal although technically Messi is better speaking of the number of voals and even the goal ratio but when it comes to the quality of the goals their is no comparison, Messi scores more beautiful goals than Ronaldo,YouTube is your friend.
Besides goals there are other things I watch out for,their overall contribution in a game,Messi is the most creative player I have ever seen,Ronaldo may have some assists since he is an attacker but in that area he is average,Messi is unplayable, he can go back to the midfield collect a pass and make something out of nothing.

It is true he has won just I champions league in the last Five years,but I hope you know that Ronaldo has once gone 5 years without a champions league title and the two occasions they met in the champions league Messi outshone him,2009 finals when he lost in the finals and 2011 semi finals where he lost as well,Messi scored 3 goals on both occasions,hw didn't even score 1,was he not Ronaldo then,yes Messi hasn't won the world cup but at least he has played in the final that was a good attempt,same with the copa America where I think he has been really unlucky

Typical Barca wouldn't give you any chance, yet we got knocked out by Inter in the UCL in 2010 and by Chelsea in 2012, lost the Copa del Rey in 2011 and La Liga in 2012. All those when Pep was in charge. Enrique's team didn't play like Pep's team yet they also won the treble. Even when Madrid was winning their 3 consecutive UCL titles, we still bossed them most of the times we met.

Hu took them to the finals?? .Hu qualified them??..no one cares about second place...we only care bout winners... The European cup is the second biggest international tournament after the WC....
