I quite understand your point, beautiful football was the watchword of barca during pep, we can control the game from start to finish and still dash the opponent 4 to 5, 6 goals. But that was then, the tikitaka football has lost some potency since pep left barca, the team with messi, xavi, iniesta on the fray is the best barca team in history. nowadays, beautiful footballs don't always win, we have seen that recently with France winning the world cup, Portugal wining Europe, or the un-fancy Madrid team winning the champions league back to back for 3 consecutive seasons. so the point is that the tikitaka football is no longer as effective as it used to during Pep's era, the opponent can just sit back, suck the pressure in and counter you on the counterattack. the best team now is the one that scores the goals and I think this barca team is delivering from that perspective.
