When Tinubu collects 40 billion monthly from Lagos that project will take 100 years to complete |

Lagos complained of not being in Power until Ambode came in while they controlled the FG and decided to be foolish with this project by starting his own. Now there's no money to do anything, the road is an eyesore and the people are suffering. If you ply that route ehn, you will weep for this country |

Pointguardusa: My brother I know Java, Javascript, Unix, Sybase and Oracle... There is a massive gulf between learning a language and being a great developer who can write great code.. There will always be more well paid work globally as a software engineer than as a basketball player.. You can work from Tokyo to New York as a Java Developer.. How many well paid basketball players are there globally especially outside of America.. Study your book.... Basketball my foot.. |

This is one project Ambode refused to pursue for whatever reasons and in my opinion made him fail. |

Lagos state was meant to have a light rail project in the 80's, actually our able president denied the state of it. Most of the things done in Lagos when it was a capital.. Are what the lagos is enjoying.. Plus the continuing of progressive too.. |

If Ambode supposedly “refused to continue” with the Light Rail project, who is paying for this bridge? Do the people making these comments actually grasp what it takes to build a rail bridge like this and how far deep down into the seabed those supporting piles have to go to safely carrying trains? If Ambode “refused to continue” with the project, who then negotiated the agreement with Alstom of France (one of the world’s leading rail engineering companies) to electrify the tracks on the Blue Line and to help finance and buy new modern rolling stock (instead of the USED old NYC coaches that Fashola wanted to buy from a Toronto company)? If Ambode “refused to continue” with the Light Rail project, who completed the negotiations for the right-of-way for the Red Line? The Light Rail project is a complex infrastructural project and not a can of beans, and while it has admittedly suffered delays (particularly, but not limited to, financing issues) it was NEVER abandoned in any guise by Mr. Ambode. In actual fact, it took all of THREE YEARS for the NNPC to relocate its pipelines in the Blue Line’s right-of-way, while the negotiations with the military for permission to demolish part of Ojo Cantonment that abuts the Blue Line’s right-of-way dragged on until 2017 or 2018. Many Nigerians love to see “commissioning” (even of zinc ‘constituency project’ toilets), but do not seem to appreciate that solid pre-works most often results in better projects. 1 Like |

Olawalesmarter: Exactly! Unlike now that Nigeria is so safe that Boko Haram is not still fighting in the North-East, herdsmen are not going around slaughtering farmers, so-called ‘bandits’ have not laid siege to Zamfara State, the Fulani and other ethnicities are not killing each other for fun in Kajuru (and perhaps other parts of Kaduna State), bandits have not run rampant in the riverine areas of a Lagos and Ogun State, the Army is not carrying out operations all across the country, and so on and so forth. Keep enjoying the “peace” of the dead under Buhari. SMH 1 Like |

Can you please scroll down and reply to somebody post about the actual cost of the project being far less than what the government of Lagos state claims to be the cost and then argue why Jonathan should have this figures and still go ahead to approve more loans olujastro: |

Nodogragra4me:I saw it but I can't reply all the mentions I get especially when they lack facts. The person didn't state that what he copied from a website was the combined cost of both the Blue line (Okoko to Marina) and the Red line (Agbado to Marina) that Lagos wanted to build. Whereas this project is only the Blue line. The Red line is now being built by the FG as part of the Lagos-Ibadan rail line. Secondly, people go online and copy whatever they see as facts. What I wrote is what I experienced living there and reading from newspapers over the years. |

Pointguardusa: My brother by all means play ball, but finish your studies so you have a back up.. I personally was never good at sports so maybe I am biased. But as I mentioned I have friends who went pro and one of them is now in real estate because he ripped his Achilles’ tendon. The other is now in banking due to multiple back injuries, were it not for their education both of them would have gone straight to the poor house... Also if you do succeed in sports be wise with your cash. So many young black men blow their earnings on overly lavish spending and foreign women. If you avoid those pitfalls then more power to you. In truth I don’t mind how my people succeed, but I wish more of us pushed forward in tech or science. As then they can not only bring themselves up but also fellow Nigerians... let us not fight, but appreciate your studies. How many Agberos or Amijaris would jump at the chance of a University education, you have that chance all I am saying is don’t waste it.... 1 Like |
