Brownhypo:Try another charger and see. I think the fault is from the charger. I mean the part you connect to the laptop,the other part that is plugged to socket hardly get faulty. 1 Like |

Hello engineers in the house, please i have a problems handling windows update for a windows 10 pro version 1511 pc. Microsoft recently released an update last month and my pc is set to automatically download the update. I've tried every possible means to stop the update but it won't work. Here's where it gets worse, whenever I turn on my Hotspot to browse, the update starts by itself and it won't go beyond a certain level no matter how long i leave my pc turned on and this causes my pc to run into problems whenever I reboot. I'd have to do a system restore after every failed update attempt. This has made me unable to use my pc to browse. Please can you proffer a solution to the problem...... Thank you. |

Bayokun:If your CD/DVD drive is not detecting your disc maybe the lens is weak or totally bad. Try different CDs and DVDs to be sure,if it doesn't detect them then change the lens. It has nothing to do with driver. Because the drivers responsible for your disc drive are installed automatically after a format,you don't have to install them. Even if you uninstall them,when you restart your PC they are reinstalled automatically. It's not drivers problem,it's either your CD or DVD are bad or your drive lens is bad. |

juzo98:This is the solution to your problem,I have read many suggestions on how to stop windows 10 Update but all of them are temporary solutions. Eg setting your internet to metered connection. Now do this,and windows 10 will never use 1kb of data again for update. 1. Start your PC 2. Go to search icon on the task bar and type " services.msc " do not put the " " 3. Press enter 4. It will take you to a window with list of windows services. 5. Scroll down to Windows update 6. Double click windows update in the list 7. A new window opens,you will see where update is set to automatic or manual. 8. Click the drop down and select disabled 9. Click apply 10.Click ok Close the windows services windows That's all,it doesn't matter whether you set your internet to metered or not, windows will never download update again ever, until you reversed the configuration you did. |

My laptop was infected by some kind of viruses (so I taught and hurriedly installed a kaspersky antivirus ).Despite that, Whenever I insert a flash drive, all of my files are gone, there will be 2 files appeared which is REMOVABLE DISK 2GB(Secured By Kaspersky Internet Security 2017).bat and readme.txt. when i click on the file REMOVABLE DISK 2GB(Secured By Kaspersky Internet Security 2017).bat ,a folder will appeared, named System Volume Information and it contained all of my files. Then, i put another drive and the same thing happens. I had formatted my drive but the files still appeared. I had also tried to scan my laptop, but it does not detect anything. What should i do? Hamdy6:Only God knows the kind of site that you guys visit that make your PC to be infected with such hardcore virus. Even the Kaspersky antivirus you installed has been infected. If you have important files on your Pc,look for an empty disc and copy them to it. Note don't open the files on another computer because they are infected. Format your PC. When you get to where to format HDD during installation,format and then delete partition,don't forget, delete the partition. After installation, install an antivirus and update it immediately. After update, connect the HDD where you copy your files above using external HDD adapter and scan it. You are good to go from here. Advice: Have a flash or external HDD you will use to collect files from people,so that you can scan them before transferring them to your PC. You might have contacted the virus while collecting files from someone. I personally don't use antivirus,I only installed Avast premier 2018 to test the license which is to last till 2031 or something,after that I uninstalled it. orobosa26:When you insert a storage drive into your windows 10 PC for the first time,it will pop up a notification asking for " what you want windows to do whenever the device is connected" if you didn't select anything,next time,the device is connected,there will be no pop up. So go to This PC and look for your phone there,if it's there double click to open, if it's not there remove the USB cable and plug it to another port,if it still doesn't detect it,try another USB cord. I use the same October 2018 update and a window pop up when I connect my phone, showing all folders on my phone. |

MizCharm:Have you gotten the activation key? If not quote me. Besides activation key won't cut it nowadays. When you logged on to internet,it will be detected and blog. So permanent activator like kms or Ms toolkit is what is used now. |

xreal:Only the taskbar is malfunctioning? Do system restore to just before it started. If it affects the screen too,then it's because what you are doing has consumed your CPU,no more memory to be used by the system to process task,thereby leading to freezing. My advice increase your ram,stop running to many multiple task and don't play games whose spec is above that of your Pc |

kd10:I have all windows O.S from windows xp,to Vista to win 7 all version to 8 to 8.1 to Windows 10 1503(first release) to Windows 10 1809(October 2018 release). But known of them is as good and beautiful and complete as windows 10 1809 update. Forget windows 8, go for windows 10, but make sure it's the latest update. The initial 1503 has to much problems. |

Greatdesi:Incomplete or failed installation. First download Revo uninstaller on your Pc and completely uninstall the Mtn modem. Then insert it again on your Pc and reinstall it. Be patience,it has two stage,first it installs the modem driver,you won't see the Mtn modem on your Pc,then it will now start the second stage where the Mtn modem pops up and show searching for network. Wait till when it shows Mtn at the bottom of the modem with network bars by the side. |
