Many of these ladies think that when a doctor is examining them he's interested in their breasts, which Nigerian doctor under all the stress is interested in that nonsense at that time??

To all of you above, don't be too quick to judge. Every story has 3 sides, the victim side, the accused side and the truth. The lady might have accused the doctor wrongly and it maybe otherwise. Its better to hear from the accused first before you give a verdict.

then start jumping into conclusion without verifying. As long as the accusation is from a woman and it has to do with sexual assault, take it with a pinch of salt. Although I've not really put interest in the first case to know the severity of the accusation and if it's true or not, my comment was directed at this second girl making accusations on Twitter. False rape accusation is worse than rape. So before you castigate someone accused of rape, also think about the possibility that it might be a false accusation. Women play victim a lot and are very vindictive. High majority of rape accusations are wrong but there is no proper laws in place to protect men from wrongful accusations

More women will come out. The truth is that rape victims are stigmatized so they usually keep quiet and the rapist continues. The reason this is even getting the desired attention is because the other woman is married and her husband is the one trying to get justice. A single lady is talking now she is being labelled a liar for not speaking out earlier. It's accusations like this that made her not speaK out in the first place. Perhaps him committing a worse offence gave her strength to speak out.

I knew and worked with TJ when I was still in naija. He trained in the Russian Federation and has a young beautiful wife. While I can't stand in defence of him, I wouldn't join to malign his character.
Having said that, it goes without saying that a number of us do such crazy stuffs like fiddle with a lady's privates in the hospital.
We then begin to wonder what would push you to do such when you're allowed by religion and culture to marry as many as 4 wives and still keep concubines. At least you can mix them - fat, slim, big yansh, big boobs , dark, blonde.
As a doctor, I can't be turned on when examining a lady in the hospital setting. And if I must examine, my nurse aide must be present with me.
The devil in you must be greater than the devil in the world to fall for such temptation.

Nigerians are too gullible!!! It is even difficult for you to be turned on while examining a female patient... Because at that point ; she is only seen as a 'Specimen' and a 'Case'.

this is exactly what I'm talking about. It's innocent until proven guilty. How exactly are rape victims stigmatized and are you denying the fact that lots of women falsely accuse men of rape?

Mistake some women do is not shouting and raising alarm as soon as u noticed such an act. If u know u will eventually tell ur husband about that, start by raising alarm instantly. It will be more difficult for the perpetrator to deny that time his conscience is still fresh on that crime.

Your comment is in order. However, I have observed that due to shortage of manpower, doctors in several government hospitals examine ladies without a chaperone. To me this is a dangerous practice become of allegations like this.

Everything has limitations, you need to practice as a doctor to understand what we pass through. A patient going for a surgery such as one that involve womb surgery as she said has 50-50 percent chances of dying or surviving from the surgery by any slight mistake.

So what is more important to you as a doctor,is it to pray for safe surgery or to sleep with her? Knowing fully well if she dies from the surgery, the stigma will be very bad, that you are a killer etc. It's not every surgery you do that you are 100% sure of being successful, that's why we request for patient or relative to sign A CONSENT before the surgery.

If you are a man, how do you feel after sex, exhausted or energised? Surgery is energy demanding on its own, and there is no room for mistakes though it still occur because we are humans.
When you have sex before an elective surgery believe you me it may not (100%) be successful talk more of when you raped the patient. A patient need to be in good and complete physical and emotional state of mind before going in for surgery except if its emergency. Someone you raped can't be in a stable condition and the operation you are going to do involvea the same system (Reproductive and Genitourinary system)

Having said this, their is never a never in medicine and there is nothing impossible in life.
