may God console d family, I pray she understand someday, almost similar story with my Dad when he went for A.U peace keeping in Liberia when everyone in his squad died and he was d only survivor....my respect remain with d army anytime any day.

i pray God help to console d family, and she will understand some, similiar thing happens to my Dad (may his soul RIP) when he went for A.U peace keeping in Liberia and everyone in his squad died and he was d only survivor....my respect remain with d armies anytime anyday.

In medicine, there is what we call Assisted Suicide where a patient at certain death request for his own demise , there is also the right to death, a human right which says everyone that has his right to take his own life under certain circumstances , the military , medical and among many are fully aware.
Even Samson took his own life, Peter requested his manner of death, all examples of such cases.
a look at the ancient samurai from Asia ,reserved a blade meant for themselves and sometimes their family, it was savage and brutal but yet it meant respect and helped laid their legacies and history.
Do you think if death cases such as fire incidents, air crashes, viral diseases infestation , drowning, ritual killings and all those who have lost their lives brutally were given an option to take their own life the way they saw fit, won't they have done it?
the idea of suicide is for one to escape his or her greater pain, for these people such as the soldiers it's their escape from defeat .


God condemns suicide so those any sane person, but this ideology I believe has its limits and its exceptions. feel free to tag me I will do my best to explain more.

Let me tell u what Boko Haram does to captured soldiers they cut there head or penis and make them bleed to death, most times they use them for target practice. I have a cousin soldier at the frontline

There is no soldier who has been rigorously drilled in a combat warfare that will extend a loaded magazine to dying colleague. Instead the soldiers should seriously engage the enemy in a fierce fire fight and gain upper hand in order to save himself and the dying colleague from attacking enemy. Nigerian army looks like anything in Nigeria, idiotically out of alignment from constructive stream of thought. What a waste of a country.

The story......? U don't need donations for a late soldier's wife. NAWIS and burial allowance will be given to her after 2 months they stop the salaries of d deceased husband. The salaries will be paid for about 4-5 months after his demise. A good productive wife won't suffer financially if only she or d kid is the NOK of d deceased. For a Sgt, NAWIS and burial allowance would be around 800k while for cpl below should be above 500k. With dis little she can start sth while she awaits d death gratuity of d late husband.
Many productive wives of deceased soldiers are doing well if they are NOK. But if the soldier boy should put his brother or father and forget or refuse to change it after marriage, that will be a big problem, the woman is at d mercy of NOK. Most soldiers are encouraged to change it when they are married or have a grown kid.
