Hello NL'ders, I want to have an idea of how lucrative it is to run a Viewing center for live matches.....

I want to use the upcoming Nations Cup as an opportunity to jump start the hustle, I have no idea on how it is to run one, and I'm here , asking business owners, or individuals with experience, ideas, and inside knowledge to give me a little OT in the business.....

P. S, i have a large space, two TV's and getting chairs are not a problem for me...intending to start small with the (nations cup FREE)...

i think I got a dope location, it's populated by students and lots of people around not to talk of unavailability of better viewing center.....

Good idea. It depends on the location you want to use. If your location has a high population of the youth,especially undergraduates,then with two televisions is not a bad idea.
You can charge as low as fifty naira per match, because you have to recharge the network you will use whether DStv or what., in addition to cost of fuel for your generator, and maintenance.
But bear in mind you will have to add another Tv or even two as you progress.

yes sir I fully understand what you saying..... I intend to start with 100 naira as that is the universally accepted amount for live matches anywhere in naija, but I'm starting the nation s cup free of charge to make an impression..... I have no idea of the dstv rates and other unseen expenses, also I know a bros who owns a viewing center and he is never smiling, always angry over one or two things, maybe it's not very lucrative etc.... I just want to know before I jump, what to expect etc.....

Its A Good Business Infact Futuristic. I Wanted To Do Such Here Too In My Area Where Im Serving Currently (nysc), But I Noticed Only Few People Fancy Such Football Here And If I Establish It, Im Gonna Run A Charity Enterprise.. A great idea on paper but the rascals and thugs in society will not allow for an organized viewing centre simply because man u lost to barca. Also there is the issue of charging phones and laptops because of low power supply which causes confusion. Stress is too much my brother, be careful

plus you need a lot of patience coz you will have to endure a lot of insult from people

Money dey am. Dem dey play match Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. If you dey charge 100 naira for viewing centre wey dey contain 100 pesins, you go dey make 10000 naira per matchday. If you times am with 6 days na 60000 naira per week. Say you dey pay 1000 naira for fuel per day na 6000 naira. You con give DSTV 16000 naira per month, you go still get change of 38000 naira for one week money.

location will determine...10years ago.. i know a guy who became a millionaire through this venture.. he has a large expanse of space. he has a mini bar, then there is another section for world film and sort..

the thing is that u must be able to show at least 3 matches at ago especially during premiership season

Keep 18k per month for Dstv commercial account (For viewing cetre) apart from the money for the decoders you wat to use. They have several types with different charges.
