We need to stop playing matches in our mushroom stadia just for political sentiments. Look at the stadium in DR Congo, Zimbabwe, Tanzania very big and wide pitches. It makes football interesting. Not that Asaba rice farm

Most African countries have only one standard stadium they use for their national team and they maintain them well... I dunno why the NFF can't stick to one stadium for major super eagles games...From Lagos to Abuja to Calabar to Uyo and now Asaba with unnecessary stop by in Kaduna and Kano... its affecting the team...
My problem with that Asaba stadium isn't exactly the pitch size but the state of the grass... I'm confused as to why it has remained that way....what specie of grass is it that they can't trim it low?

And what will you call that eyesore of a pitch in Asaba?
This is how the stadium in Asaba is watered........like car wash pipes. No automatic sprinkler in this 21st century

I was ashamed to say the least if that's how we wet the pitch in Nigeria. Even Cape Verde astro has sprinklers that I saw before their match against Lesotho

Ogbeni close mouth ... He is a flop ...I don't know why you all love lies and massaging your egos with more lies. Here is a flop shipped out for being a flop although people like you will definitely call it racism. I can remember one time Iheanacho Nacho mbappe better than kylian Kelechi scored for Mancity and his teammates rushed to restart because they were loosing ,but you all here tagged it racism ffs !!! Even when Mancity shipped out Iheanacho Nacho mbappe better than kylian Kelechi and retained Gabriel Jesus , hell opened and y'all tagged pep Guardiola a racist for shipping out a floppy disk . It's normal for you guys and I'm awaiting you people to tag Stephen Gerrard A racist for shipping out a below below average player once more
your reply explains it all, enjoy !

The Tanzanian team played total Football. Good ball possession, excellent wings play total attacking Football. Typical of how we used to play.

LESSONS WE LEARNED FROM NIGERIA VS SEYCHELLES

1) We need more goalkeeping options:Uzoho is not good enough

2) [s]Mikel needs to get back to the team :Rohr should settle whatever rift he has with Mikel because when Iwobi is not at his best the team lacks creativity
[/s]

3) We desperately need a set piece taker: Apart from Etebo nobody is decent enough on setpieces and being a tall team that was what we should be capitalizing on

4)[s] The search for a good striker continues : Onuachu has flattered to deceive on his debut, that means Nigeria still seeks a replacement or competition for Ighalo, I advice Rohr to look to Mfom Udoh who has been banging goals in the NPFL for seasons now
[/s]

5) NFF should listen to Rohr about stadium choices :The match played in Asaba hindered the players instead of bringing out the creativity in them and being so close to Afcon the Super Eagles need to be playing on a good pitch to bring them to rhythm

6) Onyekuru is a star player : despite mesmerizing the opponents in the Seychelles match, Onyekuru recorded two headers one resulting to a goal, more than any other Nigerian player and for the smallest player on the pitch that is quite an achievement

7) The Nigerian crowd need to wake up :Apart from the Supporters club the rest of the stadium was silent and spectating instead of supporting, In the U-23 match against Libya the Nigerian team needs the crowd behind them

You are always looking for opportunities to blame Rohr. What has Rohr got to do with Tanzania qualification?

If Rohr is that bad, why not suggest capable hands? Or even take up the job as the technical director of the SE?

Interesting.

Modified :
It is unlikely there's a beef with Mikel. Learn not to speculate or peddle unsubstantiated rumours.
In the interest of growing and moving forward Mikel should no longer be an integral part of the team. He is and has always been a good player however his time is fast elapsing in the team. There should be a forward looking approach to building a team for the future. So calling for a return of Mikel to solve creativity issues in a team that has put 3 past qualification opponents in previous trips in laughable. The team is not Spain '10 yet but it should be a forward movement.

Secondly, there's no reasonable excuse to label Onuachu "poor" or to say he has flattered to deceive. On what premises have you predicated that assertion? A 15 minutes cameo in a drab encounter?! A Striker's performance is based on how effective he can dispatch opportunities when presented. For exceptional Strikers their positioning is expected to be top notch too.

Cheers.

Siasia should borrow a leaf, go abroad for a job, display ur wares just as Emma my man is doing, Oliseh nearly did also, buh for his ego. Sia shudnt remain lazy here waiting for any of the national team coaches to fail for him to jump in, on the interim.

And u think Rohr could have done it with the bunch other coaches failed with? So what happened at the tourney proper?

Amunike's U20 squad was never star studded, it was rather Manu's 2015 squad that had professionals from Sokari the best midfielder in the NPFL l, hot Success of Granada, hot Iheanacho of city, blazing hot Awoniyi etc.

All the players Amunike used were Academy players, from Chukwueze, Osimhen, Nwakali, Kingsley Michael to orji et al
