Guy forget, friendly is friendly. If we happen to meet Egypt in the AFCON expect a completely different game from them especially as they would be playing in Front of their home crowd.

Let's not be carried away by tonight's Victory o.
Egbon I am not carried away. ....oooo
the Super Eagles is capable of beating any Africa team if well managed....
remove salah from that team they become Tunisia...

Ekong saying the same thing:

“The pitch was bad for us and for them but we were able to score an early goal and the new players played very well.”

Everybody can not be wrong about that pitch

U people will be mentioning players that are dormant. When Onuachu, Okereke and Osimhen dey why una still dey give undue recognition to KC? Wait until he starts performing Kai.

darkelf:
We won today and I am glad.

Kudos to the defence for keeping things tight at their own end.

Kudos also to Onuachu for the early goal. It really unsettled the Egyptians Gameplan.

Although I wish we won by a larger margin but a win is a win.

Onuachu must not become complacent. Nacho may just awake from his slumber.

Shehu need s to be tried in the DMF position but I fear for his passing. One bad pass and it could spell doom for us.

The team should have been stringing passes like this long before now. I think he is slow but steady. I will wait till AFCON before I give him my final assessment.

Great!

What do you think about Rohr's performance so far?

I won't even argue with you undecided

You sound delusional most times

You have started again. If he hits back at you now you will start presenting yourself as an innocent persecuted gentleman.

You remind me of those bullies back in primary school. Always very eager to pounce on quiet gentler kids, but cowardly peeing in thier pants whenever faced with someone their own size.

It is normal for a team that is down to increase their push for a goal while the leading team goes more conservative to maintain their score line. U don't expect the Egyptians to bow out without a fight.

One response in my philosophy.

The best defence is in attack, you can ask Guardiola about that and see it personified in Manchester city.

Which forward thinking team sits on a one goal lead ❓

Currently if we can get him first choice right now is FIKAYO TOMORI.

“Window for new player invitations to Super Eagles is closed. We will continue to scout but no new invitations for Africa Cup Of Nations.”

Rohr

No new players for AFCON, Uduokhai inclusive?

I don’t know if someone has already mentioned, but Solanke and Uduokhai were both on the scoresheet today.

Remember it was Egypt we just played and not just Libya or Sudan.

A team we last beat at the 1990 AFCON!

And take note that Nigeria did not just relax on that one goal. We kept pushing for a second goal as the Egyptians were second best for the greater part of the game.

Like I said before a losing team typically will want to come all out to attack during the later stages of a game and the winning team typically would want to protect the lead they have.

National team is different from club. We don't have the attacking power that Mancity have and we cannot go and purchase it.

I still don't see any reason for Mikel's inclusion into the final squad. It may sound crazy but I think he has paid his dues and its now time for others to step up to responsibility. Over-reliance on Mikel will cost us big time
lol.

No just try yourself say you wan go AFCON without Odogwu Mikel, else, we fit lose to Madagascar sef. You underestimate the psychological boost Mikel's presence provides in that team, sans his contribution on the pitch.

Mikel's era will end soon, but for now, nothing like over reliance.

No mind am. Because we don beat Egypt now our mouth don begin sharp. These are the same people that will berate Rohr for not taking Mikel to the AFCON if things don't work out for us. undecided
