Hello everyone, it’s been a minute. Great to see there’s a new thread. I decided to stay off the forum post AOR in order to maintain my sanity as the wait can be quite unnerving. I’m here to give a progress report cause we’re all family in this quest.

AOR: 8th February
Medical passed: 26th March
Biometric request: 26th March
Biometric completed: 27th March
Background check has also commenced.

That’s all the news I have for now and I’ll be sure to share whatever update I get in real-time. Going back to staying away from nairaland for my own good. Good luck to everyone concerning their respective applications.

i am sorry for asking this here. but i really want to help a colleague, the wife has a masters, 42 years of age, family of 3, no direct family member in Canada. However the husband has a cousin in Nova scotia. PLEASE DON'T REFER ME TO PNP thread

in all my research on their behalf, their best bet is AIPP and Saskatchewan PNP. i know one has to get a job offer to get AIPP nomination, but that's how far my research has been. please make una help me look into this.

Sask has a list of NOCs in demand. She can log here to check

https://immigration.saskatchewan.ca/apex/f?p=305:101:4739348933035:::::

Pls check the PNP page also...
Truth is they are too many different requirements for the different provinces.

She may also try French...

my experience is that without an NOC in demand or a job offer with a Labour Market Impact Assessment...it might be tricky for this age group

A quick link of all the provinces is here

Good day house.

During personal history, do we fill volunteer work as employment? I did a part time voluntary activity when I was working full time. Do I claim the voluntary activity is an employment as well? I can't have two employment in the same period can I?

Secondly, for medicals, do we include NMA as an organization we are part of? If we do, the personal history won't follow sequentially.
Please help.

I was advised to add a certification course to it. I decided to do cipm but the cipm has 3 stages. Can I just do first stage and get the cert and add it to wes for evaluation. Aside wes is there any other that renders such service..Or can the house just suggest a one time course certificate. I'm just CONFUSED.
Cc madam ifeoma77.(do enjoy ur day sis) u hv been of good help in this thread.
Advice pls
Everyone. Anyone

As for CIPM,completion of ALL stages is what qualifies you for Induction/Membership so no,you can’t just do 1 for the purpose of Assessment. I believe you’ve made all enquiries necessary, especially estimated time of completion.
All the best. Cheers

Full story below grin

Decision to Travel: November 2017, after proper analysis of the inherent benefits.

Family composition: 2

POF composition: 25 % from pension fund and 75% fixed deposit

Post AOR:

- Provided reference letter of PA in desired IRCC formats.(no payslip provided)
- Thought it wise to provide reference letter for supporting applicant since majority of funds came from supporting applicant, just for 2 previous jobs though. Reference letter for current job was not included. Also no payslips. Wanted to keep application as simple and straight forward as possible.

A wise woman once told us that there is always something that needs an explanation, hence we included LOE to explain change of name, travel history and police certificate.

A separate LOE was included in the POF placeholder to properly explain composition of funds.

Update on Ielts journey- first attempt

I posted about my ielts exam experience using the computer delivered format on Tuesday 12th March. My result was delivered via ups courier on friday 21st March.
Listening 8.5
Reading 8.5
Writing 7
Speaking 7.5
British Council
Resources- ieltsonlinetests (reading and listening), ieltspracticepteonline(reading and listening), ieltsliz, ieltsbuddy, ieltsjay for tutorials. Writing task1-chris Pell task 2- Amanda Lynn YouTube.
Finally, I give all glory to God. I practised and studied like my life depended on it to the point, I collapsed and was rushed to hospital as I wasn't eating or sleeping well. Studying on empty stomach plus anxiety attacks.
I started practising from October till the exam even.
Thanks nairalanders. Your the best.
Waiting for my evaluation as unilag is yet to send my transcript to Ices.
Prayer is key as well as hard work.

Congrats. How was the listening delivered? was it played on speakers or you were given earphones?

As you were not paid, volunteer work should probably be under "Organization".

NMA should also be under "Organization".

Only your employment should be sequential. The others can be simultaneous.

Thank you, there is no contract agreement or official letter to this voluntary work. It is a completely unofficial stuff. I started doing it after graduation because I was bored at home and I continued doing it after i got a job because i loved football. So the activity required me to write football contents for a friend who is working in a local blogging company at my own convenience without any financial reward. I am not so sure if the blogging company knew I was the one developing the contents sef, even if they knew, I wasn't recognised by them.
The issue is I made a mistake by including it in my CV i sent to two US schools that I wrote for the blog for the period I engaged in the activity. I just don't know how far CIC background checks go. If I hadn't included it in any of my CVs, I wouldn't bother including it.
I am just making sure I don't make mistake in this application.
