For only those from Lagos state like the Oshodis, Wahabs, Bajulayes etc. Those truly from Lagos know themselves. Until you go for job interviews in Lagos state ministry and fakely claim Lagos indigene before you understand that khaki no be leather. Those from Lagos state know themselves, up to their family houses.

Scholarships are common in the north for their indigenes, unlike a lot of states from the south. To get scholarships from all these other states in the South is like trying to get water out of a rock.

You seem not to understand.. So many of them are indigenes for mouth...when I gained admission and needed to get my letter of indigeneship from my place of origin in ibeju lekki, I was asked to get a letter from the oba and state my family house, I was able to do that cause I'm from one of the royal family there....
Most non-indigenes won't be able to apply cause they already aligned with a particular state during there under graduate...they are also trying to checkmate some people who falsify so I was told the oba will ask them of their family name and house, so he will know if they are indigenes or not....those that are willing to bribe might scale through, but why paying much to get something equivalent..

Most indigenes know themselves, there names, and where families are..there are some areas you can't claim your family house is in

Born in lagos, resident in lagos, pay all charges as they fall due. But when benefits are available. We hear catchment area, we hear citizens, Maybe only citizens should be charged for Land Use, local govt rate, toll etc.

That's one thing most Easterners in Lagos don't understand. No matter how long you live in Lagos, you will always be a stranger if you are not yoruba. You cannot contest an election and win. You cannot benefit in schemes like this even though you pay more tax than the so called indigenes. Its pathetic.
I have personally decided that Lagos is a place to make money and go back home. I cannot call it home since they wont accept me. My Children will be trained in such a way that they will understand that they are strangers here.

What is pathetic about that? Can a Yoruba person born and bred in say Anambra benefit any such things you're expecting to benefit in Lagos? Why then do you think it should be the other way round in Lagos. Was it not Abia state government that disengaged some civil servants that were Igbos bot not Abians some years back. At least that can never happen in Lagos - the sacking of Yorubas that are not native Lagosians. There are even a handful of Igbos in the Lagos State Civil service. That can never happen anywhere in the East.

I'm yoruba... but not from Lagos. I feel we should ve moved past this indigene stuff. its a set back in disguise
