guys to snap your passport FOR APPLICATION, you could use an app called "passport photo editor", its very easy to use and straight forward, it comes with countries passport specifications. you don't need to use ruler to measure.
also you could use passport photo maker to change the background to white

Good morning house. Plz I just want to confirm.... , what exchange rate does ircc use in calculating POF. Is it the CBN rate or black market rate. Thank you
No one knows for sure, someone posted that it's 275 from his GCMS notes. But then another person who used way above that rate ended up with RR for insufficient POF.
Just use the higher rate on XE and still add a buffer

For example,
Scenario 1: if in ABC company I worked there for 3 years as a clerk and i am claiming points for it to boost my CRS score, I must get reference letter from ABC company.

Scenario 2: if in ABC company I worked there as a clerk for 1 year and in XYZ company I worked there for 2 years as an adnin assistant year. And I am combining jobs from ABC abd XYZ Company (3years) to boost my CRS score, then I must get reference letter from both ABC abd XYZ Company.

at the words in bold, i have been meaning to post that, but scared i mght get a backlash. THE POF IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. each and every one of us know our pockets. please reduce expenses to strictly "needs". trust ifeoma (IRCC's agent ) grin, you will need the saved money for settling down

But it's true jare. Not only to preserve POF but you also start packing subconsciously so you begin to see every purchase as extra load.

I think it has been clarified by subsequent answers.

You must provide reference letters for all the work experience you are claiming points for, 1 or 10, depending on how many you are combining. As long as the experience adds to your CRS score, you must provide reference for it.

Yes, I've read them, thank you dear.

Okay, looks like village people have finally gone mad o. They do not know I am like wind that can not be caught! cheesy

So I hit submit yesterday and I got the message in the attached screenshot. Who has had a similar experience and how did you resolve it. I used First Bank btw. And now, they are holding the money in Lien, meaning I no longer have access to it. Their exchange rate was evil also, 283.75! Whatsup with that?

1. I still have 2 days left on my deadline from today. That is Monday, 01st April, 2019 (I hope I am not wrong in this assumption?). Anyone knows what time exactly the final whistle blows?

I'm looking to get another set of monies and jejely use a friend's GTB on Monday morning. I hope it will not result to like a double payment or something of the sort?

Oya o, everybody should come and sound off, biko.

This happened to me too when I tried to pay, I tried my second bank and it went through. Fortunately for me, my bank didn't hold the money in lien.
Like you said, try another bank card.

It is very possible to do medicals pre ITA. But remember that the medicals expire after a year, and depending on processing time for your application, that could affect your landing plans. So try to schedule the medicals based on when you think you might get ITA, and plan for the processing time.

Good morning e-fam

Is it advisable to go for medicals pre ITA?

What do we need for PCC...can't seem to download the form from the 1st page.

Morning house, wanted to confirm if it's true by any chance that what the crs calculator gives you is often times lower than what you get when you eventually create a cic profile and enter the pool? I need to confirm this assertion.

Seniors on the thread always advice you take a screenshot of oanda.com currency converter page. you can use that to convert to get a safe range, but i always advice folks use a higher exchange rate than what is on oanda to avoid any shortfalls.

yes you can go for medicals pre ITA. Go with ATM card, valid international passport, one passport photograph( with a white background)
For PCC, (go to alagbon ask for ACP moshood, room 64, check for his number on the thread) Go with your valid international passport, one passport photograph , photocopy of your international passport data page.

Research NOC Code Query

Hi Everyone,

I am confused regarding my NOC code. Logically it seems that I should fit under 4012 NOC. I hold a Masters degree worked as a full time paid research assistant at a university. I only had research duties and not teaching ones listed as follows:

Undertake literature reviews/ systematic reviews
Collect and analyze data
Recruit subjects for interviews and perform data collection through telephonic or face to face interviews
Maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects by obtaining, handling and storing data in accordance with ethical guidelines
Assist in project management
Perform data entry, data cleaning, data modification and analysis of survey data
Attend project meetings with internal and external stakeholders
Attend school meetings as necessary
Provided assistance and support to researchers in the collation, analysis and reporting of study findings
Summarize/synthesise findings of the study
Prepare other articles, reports or presentations as necessary
Prepare research manuscripts for publication in journals and provide assistance in the preparation of manuscripts
Can you please suggest an appropriate NOC? As per 4012, the duties are:

http://noc.esdc.gc.ca/English/noc/QuickSearch.aspx?ver=16&val65=4012

Main duties
Grade examinations, term papers and laboratory reports.
Compile research results and assist professors in the analysis of results and the preparation of journal articles or papers.
Post-secondary teaching assistants
Conduct literature reviews, surveys, laboratory experiments and other research for use in scholarly publications
Conduct seminars, discussion groups and laboratory sessions to supplement lectures
Assist in the preparation and administration of examinations
Research assistants
Organize reference materials, visual aids and other materials as required by university professors or college teachers for lectures
This group performs some or all of the following duties:
Post-secondary teaching and research assistants specialize in a subject matter based on their field of study.
There seems to be a mismatch in research/ teaching roles. Kindly offer advice regarding the same. Thanks heaps smiley

Warrisdis?

Raise another money to pay sharpaly.

If for whatever reason, the first one still goes and you end up with double payment, you can get a refund.

Your JD fits nicely with 4012 Post-secondary teaching and research assistants.

It appears that your concern is with this line: Grade examinations, term papers and laboratory reports.

I wouldn't stress too much about it as your JD fits the other roles:

Compile research results and assist professors in the analysis of results and the preparation of journal articles or papers.

Organize reference materials, visual aids and other materials as required by university professors or college teachers for lectures
