No. APC retains the mandate. The candidate of the Ogodo faction will be the senator.
The seat will go to the runner up of the main election.
The law that brought amaechi to power has been amended.
Now a face has to be matched to the party.
It means that the people now vote for a face along with the party

If it is so then SP will do the needful... Omo Agege is a gunner
. The Judgement did not affect his current mandate, he will remain a senator till June. The Judgement means he will not return to the Senate again after June

The Court of Appeal, sitting in Benin, the Edo State capital, has struck out appeals by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and Rev. Francis Waive, seeking to challenge the judgement of the Federal High Court, Asaba, which nullified their elections.

Recalls that Senator Omo-Agege and Rev. Waive emerged as the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 general elections from the Prophet Jones Erue-led faction of the party.

However, Justice Toyin Adegoke of Asaba Federal High Court, in her ruling in the case filed by the factional chairman of APC in Delta, Cyril Ogodo, in suit number FA/ASA/CS/76/2018 declared as null, void and of no effect any and every action purportedly taken, initiated or carried out by Erue, as chairman of APC in the state.

The court declared the plaintiff, Ogodo, as the authentic chairman of the main opposition party in the state.

Dissatisfied, Senator Omo-Agege and Rev. Waive filed an appeal against the ruling.

However, in the Friday ruling, the Appeal Court dismissed their applications against the judgment for lack of merit and awarded a fine N300,000 each against the applicants.

Ovie omo agege is from my side, Ethiope east to be precise. The people there doesn't like the party apc. So he will continue to have problems on that seat.
Keep quiet,he's from ughelli north.it is ogboru that hails from ethiope east.both areas are apc dominated.

O yes, let Akpabio's fate be yours.

Maybe the Judiciary will be the one to finally clean up the APC mess.
.
I hope when the arm of the law swings the other way u will still have same faith and good words for the judiciary.
Anyway for once the judiciary is seeming like it's independent. And not a market place where the highest bidder wins. Once upon a time.
Thanks to the crack down on the judiciary. We know who we should thank for this

For now, APC still need some of Amaechi's looted Rivers billions. So they will keep him for now. But he will never smell SFG position he has coveted so much.

Anyway, I hope they are stacking up more drips. To give him when collapses again when passed over for SFG when Buhari begins his second term. grin grin grin cheesy cheesy
