Allow the soldier to collect and go. You Nigerian bloody civilians lack respect and special treatment for service personnel of the Armed Forces especially Army. These guys sacrifice everything to keep you safe, then you come and be dragging chance to collect money from ATM with such a fellow who lay down his life to let you have peace. Some soldiers are on duty. They take permission to come to town and withdraw cash so as to give to their family at home and return to duty post. Then you want him to remain standing with you. Also, the security risk of Ostanding unarmed in present day Naija is huge. Though, one single slap is enough instead of faxing the man as if he's a criminal. That's quite too much for the gravity of offence committed.
Then he should have asked politely, mind you no body forced them to become a soldier and we all are contributing our quoter to ensure the peace of Nigeria one way or the other, their service to the nation shouldn't be a yardstick to maltreat the people they swore an oath to protect. If the army is becoming too much of a trauma they can always quit.

Those standing around watching are fools, if everybody jump on that mutherfucker, he'll beg for his life.
Thats how foolish we are in nigeria, when we see innocent people been abused by those animals in uniform, we stand and watch like its a movie than react.
But when someone steal common pure water, those that havent eatin for days will jump up and start throwing punches at the thief.
If i become president of this loop hole country, i'll make guns legal, cause the bullshit is too much.

How do we tackle this soldiers' issues self?

One guy for my area was owing me #143,000. He has been pleading with me to give him time.

One day, I heard a knock on my door, I opened, only to see the useless boy on military uniform, with 2 other soldiers. They came and started embarrassing me. They warned me never to call him and ask him of that money again else they will kill me and nobody will talk.

Up till now, I have not seen the guy and my money. I only heard he is serving in Maiduguri

It nearly happened to me some years ago, the soldier forcefully came and overthrown me from the queue, I wanted to fight for my right but have to give up because the ppl on queue weren't talking, perhaps they want to watch what the army man will do to me.

As much as Nigerian soldiers are known for abusing powers, I've every feelings that there's more to this story. Maybe a statement the man made.

Because I've never in my life seen a soldier forcefully trying to withdraw on another person's turn. They'll always take permission to do so, and I'm sure many haven't seen a soldier intimidate someone in an ATM queue before.

I was a witness when the incident happened on Friday morning, the message was wrong, the soldier was patient enough, but that guy went too far bad locking his camouflage, the guy that was beaten really deserve what he got, he frustrated the soldier in the name of right, the soldier was not trying to jump queue, he only requested that a policeman on duty be given preference at the ATM point, only for this human right man to insult and lock his camouflage round neck
^^^
You need to state clearly exactly what happened. The soldier wanted preferential treatment for himself or for a policeman? And what do you mean by "he frustrated the soldier in the name of right"?

Due to warnings from friends and some around the Bank, I won't be uploading pictures of my face after the assault. What is wrong with Nigerians Army, I was only there to withdraw and pay my customer before hurrying back to Yaba. We were all there before he came answering call. I have to tell him that because I was in a hurry but he made me pay for his frustrations. Some good Nigerians have contacted me after the humiliation while I lost my ATM card at the process.
I have handed everything over to God. I spent 7k to treat myself for being on my right today at Ipaja. God bless Nigeria.
Sorry bro.
That soldier will surely be served with hot plate of Karma. He used his military position to intimidate his fellow man.
Give that soldier 10 years from now ,he will regret ever humiliating you.

That's not entirely true. Most soldiers I've seen don't ask for permission, although some do.

You sound like an Awal. And for the record, YOU ARE A DISGRACE to Humanity.
What stop a military personnel from politely begging those that came before him in the queue before shunting the queue.
You guys need throw away this abusing-civilians mentality to the Bermuda Triangle.

One thing I've learnt in Nigeria is the people are funny.
People will insult you, when you brush them na brutality.

I went to play football at a public school in Lagos, some touts seized my ball, I took d pain to id myself to the boys o, but one small boy insisted, he held onto my ball and told me point blank "oga even if you be buhari you go still settle", as a gentleman, I just issue him small o, next thing I hear "na because na officer na why he dey beat that boy anyhow"...

Soldiers misbehave at times, but when they get discovered, they get punished.

The girl who punished a civilian for calling her beautiful was a termer 3 nda cadet, she got disenrolled, the two officer cadets caught by ambode brushing aboki at mile 12,they got disenrolled.

One thing with soldiers is that, if you go your way they go their way, but if you wave red flag in front of a bull it will consume u...

Nigerians go know say this person is a trained killer, but they'd still go and provoke such individual. He's not shooting u like customs or police. It's two-fighting, if I try to brush u and u fight like a man, olohun you'd earn my respect. But if you can't defeat the devil, become his friend or stay off his path.

Peace.
Sir,I decipher that you are a military personnel. And sound like a gentleman.
But the truth is that most of the rank and files do abuse their military training. ( they are trained to kill either by ammo or physical combat).
It is high time Nigerian Military overhauled its curriculum by taking respect for human rights serious.
I have military officers as friends and they are real gentlemen.

Your experience didn't prove that all soldiers are responsible, orderly and abide by the laws, there are animals among them. We've seen a soldier stabbed an Okada rider to death in Lagos just because the latter said he couldn't take the former to the area he wanted to go because it was out of the area he could operate without being arrested.

From what I understand from the story, it seems the guy was not on the queue initially but was a space booker. One of those who come and tell you "please I'm behind you", then go and stand in one corner waiting for their turn.

It doesn't give the soldier any rights to beat him up, but that thing can be annoying. You'll be on yhe queue since, then someone will just show up and say "I was here before. Ask him now, I'm behind him"
Not everyone has a good health to stand for several minutes. Being on the queue doesn't necessarily mean being on standing for hours, it is just for you to know when it your turn with other attesting to your claim

i don't like getting involved with soldiers (not officers) because most if not all of them are illiterates......

During my stay in Aba, i was at my mum's shop helping her out one day, when Kelechi Nwankpa
(former local government chairman of Obingwa local government) and a group of people, police, and army was harrasing people due to one due or the other and people were complaining amd laying curses on him..... when they got to my mum's shop, she was speaking with some of the task force members (touts) when one over zealous army boy shouted.... "madam i will flog the hell out of you with this koboko if you waste our time"
that was when i came out and told him to "Die It"
my own mum?, in my presence? for my own area..... i told the army guy to be ready to kill me before that could happen..... (i really meant it)

fortunately for the both of us common sense prevailed and the Superior made him apologize to my mum

Sacrifice everything? Did I force anyone to join the army? Pls stop saying this nonsense.

For me, as long as you wear a uniform, I'll give you the chance to do what you want because I believe you're on duty, but telling me that one man is sacrificing his life because of me is bullsh1t talk, I never force anyone to join the army, a lot of them join because of government failure to provide jobs, some join because they want to be intimidating people not all join the force because they love this country, so spare me the sacrifice sh1t talk.
spoke my mind..as if it's a charity organisation and they never get paid, this animalistic attitude of most of them is the reason why they live terribly miserable life after service that is if they're lucky to retire, they call civilians bloody so is their parent and siblings not in service...one day they will harrass a civilian that will end their career,if it's about duty that's understandable,I don't fear these guys if am doing the right thing

Reason why dem dey die cheaply. Guy try escape and make sure you visit better Babalawo to deal with him.

This is what you will tell baba. If you are sure you never offended him.

Tell baba you want to send the bastard soldier soul on an errand he will never return.

They can also make him wear his uniform and boot and will never be able to pull them off unless he die.

For you all uniform men , who think you can oppress the civilians anyhow, there is a better science to treat your Bleep up.

Whatever you are in life. Do not use your position to oppress the poor or the innocent or you meet the devil among MEN.

That's my believe

I will too beat any that dears to challenge me.

This made me remember back then in owerri, I was behind the next person, suddenly a soldier just walked in and went straight to the person withdrawing and told the guy to be fast. WTF!!, he didn't even ask for an excuse or permission.

The guy I was behind was the next, he changed it for the soldier man, he was courageous and bold.

The soldier man was telling him " I will deal with you now, I mean it."

The guy replied, " you can't do more than a dead rat, my father is a commissioner, my uncle is a soldier man, my aunt is also in the military, do your worst and let's see who is who."

The guy never allowed him withdraw. After he was done, I jejely allowed the soldier man withdraw. I am not afraid ooo, I just don't fancy arguments or fight.

10 seconds can make life miserable for you, it's always good to watch your depth.
that guy gt backup if not, he 4 collect
