A monkey, plenty of trees, walkways, skyways..... and more trees.... thank goodness I didn't waste my time. The long queue of cars during the yuletide was tempting to think something was actually going on there.... well except if you are.... a primate.
The beach is made of just sand, trees and a huge expanse of water. Why do you think people still go there?

Good and cool but some spots look creepy...especially that warning against snakes and crocs....yoook

lol different strokes for different folks. The only animals we encountered were just monkeys, exotic birds and that's it. we didnt have time to see the tortoise, crocs and the rest. and they're not scattered everywhere for your safety

Wow.
OP really enjoyed himself.
See as write up full everywhere.
I’m happy for you and surprised that Nigerians are slowly but surely embracing hiking as a hobby.
My sedentary friends’ bodies have changed drastically for the better ever since they started the activity.
I hope more Nigerians take it up.
One staying for long in their comfort zone without exploring is the worst disservice they can do their bodies and minds.

thank you so much smiley

This is an expose. And what really awed me the most was your sense of description and depth in narrating events. I have been to LCC. Although I was somewhat underwhelmed by the sights and sounds, nonetheless, it was a good visit.

We all should sometimes take a break from the ordinary activities of life and do some recreations. Doing so is not only educating and refreshing, it is also healthy!
OP, once again, a big well done to you.

thanks so much smiley

mostly pictures of yourselves than anything about the conservative. Nothing much though, been there, but was thinking I would see any much improvement from the last time I visited which is over 3years now.

I havent been there before now so I cant tell about the difference if there's been improvement or not. Sadly we didnt take much pictures of the park with posing in them. Well, I have a few if you're interested.

Nonye6194, great job man. LCC is worth every penny and I think they could use some more marketing or advert. People need to know of places like these. If you don't mind, I could join you guys on your next your or something.

especially to those with typical village and farm experience. You can't grow up in the village around the middle belt for example and be awed by the LCC experience.

If we have serious Governors in this country, IGR would be increasing yearly in geometric proportions. Taraba's Chappal Waddi mountain (highest point in Nigeria) should be hosting at least 500,000 new visitors yearly (from the south south region and other parts of the country) who due to their geography, have never seen nor climb a mountain. Maintain this trend for a year or two and get a local airport, create more jobs and improve your economy.

To other willing private investors, you can't go wrong with tourism. The attractions already are there. Just invest, maintain and spread the message.

I totally agree with you. we have so much untapped resources but unwilling to explore them. right from the east, west north and down to the south, we have natural attractive sites that can generate good revenue for the state. Only one state governor (Donald Duke) had shown reasonable initiative to promoting the state through tourism and till date, cross river remains amongst the top destination points in West Africa. But as he left, his successors havent shown much interest like he did and the parks, resorts and the rest are experiencing a decline in service. We will get it right slowly, with the right persons in the office

Your plus:
You create time to enjoy youself
You gush over your cute babe
You try to tell us that you are law-abiding
You have been to Calabar before
You respect the Lagos traffic

Your Sin:
You fail to kill big snake to donate to the nairalanders.

My Take:
I salute your descriptive prowess

that's not my babe, walahi

and I didnt even pose with the babe in any of the pictures I posted. i did that intentionally cause I know nairalanders

lmao we no dey play with traffic sir.

we are talking about preserving the snakes and you want us to kill one for the team grin

Insecurity should be tackled first to the barest minimum then tourism will be a boom..becos the middle belt and the north have so many interesting site to behold.I missed the days of Nigeria before Boko Haram and fulani headsmen wahala
