The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Nigeria, UNHCR Nigeria, has revealed that it received the sum of N10million from Daystar Christian Centre pastored by Sam Adeyemi.The sum was donated to assist the organization in supporting people fleeing their homes even to conflicts.

UNHCR Nigeria tweeted:

"Today, we received a N10 million-naira donation from the Daystar Christian Centre, a benevolent faith organisation based in Nigeria. This donation will support people forced to flee their homes because of conflict, violence or persecution in Africa. #WithRefugees

“This donation will be used to provide life-saving emergency assistance to families forced to flee their homes and @DaystarNG commitment to help uprooted families is appreciated”, - Antonio Canhandula @kanyandulajose, UNHCR Chief in Nigeria and ECOWAS #WithRefugees

Speaking at the presentation of the sum, pastor Sam Adeyemi said:

“When people flee their homes, their needs become critical, and their coping mechanisms compromised - @DastarNG donation is a commitment towards restoring the resilience of families forced to flee across the continent".

it's not eye service you can be rest assured.. daystar benevolence unit is world class and has tremendous records in assisting the needy, even in church, within the church environment and the outside world.. Their back too school programme, ask about it and numerous alms giving.. no daystar member is expected too go to bed hungry, only if you don't identify your needs appropriately. . I'm a member and a witness..

I doubt there are. They have a food barn in the church that members who need food have access to after their mid week or sunday service. They do a fine job in that church in terms of members’ welfare
