Hi Guys , this is to clear the air about tuition fees as regards University of Tubingen. I applied for summer semester admission and when my admission letter came out it was stated on the admission letter that non-european students would have to pay tuition fees. However, I got a mail the following day stating that the fees have been waived. See mail below :
“Dear Sir or Madame
the University of Tübingen hereby certifies that you will be exempted from the tuition fees. This exemption applies to citizens of the Least Developed Countries (UN) and ACP Countries starting summer term 2019.
Please read the attached information / application letter, sign it, copy it as a PDF and send it to this email address….
Please present the document at our student administration office as soon as you have arrived at Tübingen.”

In summary it appears that Nigeria falls into “Least Developed Countries” and therefore, we are entitled to tuition fees exemption from the University of Tubingen.

Thanks to you all who've dedicated your time and effort towards making sure the newbies are armed with relevant information on how to apply for school and get their visas.
Please, I'd like to ask if anyone here could help me with few schools that do not require TOEFL or IELTS as proof of English language for Msc Microbiology or related courses.

Thank you.

My people,I got an offer from Berlin sch of bus and innovation against May 2019.
I don't think I ll be ready for that schedule considering time for visa process and rest.

I need an advise if they allow deferment till Winter, Oct 2019. I am yet to get their response regarding my mail enquiry. Thanks as I count on you.

They do. I confirmed i can defer mine (winter 2019 to summer 2020) if need be.

If you do not have plans to apply to any school this year, DONT take IELTS or TOEFL this year.
The exams have expiry dates of 2 years. Use this year to prepare for the exams and the schools you want to apply to.

If you want to apply for summer 2020, then take the exam September this year, results take 3 weeks to be released for IELTS and applications open around September - October.

Point of correction. The result takes 11days for IELTS and not 3 weeks. Shalom
If you plan for winter next year, then you can take the exam first week of march 2020. Many schools open application by mid march and April 1st.

To those asking questions about standard university Vs university of applied sciences. Yes university of applied sciences are more practical based and train you for the industry BUT you are disadvantaged in the job market

Students of standard university are given way higher priority. They are seen as the more intelligent ones
.

I do not know how you come about the bolded. But I can confirm to you that it is false and not true. Shalom

My journey to DE was very smooth and full of experience. My flight with Egypt Air was quite an interesting one. We had layover at Cairo and we were checked into a five star hotel with complementary dinner and breakfast.

On arrival, i was received by someone on this group who is housing and taking me around just to Make sure I have a stress free moment here.

Anyone you learn is a goal.

Besides, you don't have to start with a very cumbersome programming language that will take you years to know. You can start with Database Management. This will only take you months to know, before you know it, you have a skill in the bag already. Most people don't seems to pay attention to this skill and the demand is hot and it is paying really well.

Hello chief and kudos to elders on this thread. I've been following from page 1 up to here, however the question I'm about to asked might have been answered in subsequent pages but let me ask nevertheless.

Talking about Data Management, I want to believe this what you learn yourself, if not an expert. Please what resources can I use to learn this skill, probably websites, pdfs, videos or any platform that can be of immense contribution to achieve this in few months?

Thank youse!

I did C++ in my year 2 second semester but I learnt nothing.
Infact, the codes were so boring and uninteresting to me.
I will like to learn codes but that C++ I did then was nothing to write home about, I can't even code anything reasonable yet I got grade C in it.

Are you a FUTARIAN?

Also start checking like a week before that May 1 date. It is likely the application is open by then. You can only apply and pay your handling fees after applications open.

I submitted mine on Tuesday last week, Same day I received AM. I have received call this morning for DHL asking for direction to my house in other to get my persue. I think it's always good to send passport and other document same day one receive AM.

My advice to those paying for B.A it's better to open a domicilary account. Do your exchange at sabo, pay into your account and sent to you blocked account directly. That is if you are using fintiba o. Cuz I don't know of other banks.

My experience while funding my BA indicated that one cannot pay into BA using "form A" at the bank. The bank will say they can only pay into Schools' account as stipulated by CBN.

So it's better to do your own thing in your own way.

I wish everybody best of luck.

Pls who knows best mobile network in Nigeria that charges cheaper rate for calls and data roaming?

this will come in handy for me.
