Next level things.
Next is to increase VAT and 2-3years into his useless rule when all useless ideas have turned to nought, they will increase fuel price and blame 7 years of failure on insufficient funds.
Una never see anything.
Nigerians with our lackadaisical attitude will soon begin to count our teeth with our tongues.

Before now, we where made to understand that metering of houses is free, I don't understand this one they now saying, how can a common zobo and kunu sallers on the street be able to afford dis because they need the electricity in cooling their local drinks , It's a nice idea though but it's fvckingly too expensive

no mind the fool. As if the bills they have been collecting not enough, they are finding all form of escape route to avoid delivering the meter

I paid 35k for my metre in 2012 and I got it in 2016. I think the price (36k) is still reasonable.

Nigerians and complaints sha!

All these people complaining about the price will not be averse to spending similar or even great amounts on buying the latest phones to show off.

Same people who complained about estimated billing and the length of time involved in getting a meter are still condemning this new initiative aimed at resolving these problems.

Could NERC tell Nigerians, of nation's where consumers pay for electricity meters, which is the onus of the energy providers, their property it is, not the consumer's.

Very apt.

Add to these onerous cost of the crazy estimated bills that are deliberately piled up for the customer to pay for his eventual freedom from extortion.

I remember a prepaid installation for a ghana office back then was completely free.

In Nigeria, the people get “raped” financially, “infrastructurally”, and emotionally etc.. at every turn. But the government has consistently preached morality to the people in return. angry

Why are you thinking upside down? If I buy a phone, it belongs to me and I can do anything to it. So you mean we should buy something that the government will still say belongs to her?

If we buy that meter, they should expect me to tamper with it because it is my property and I can go any length on it to give me satisfaction.

Nigerians needs to wisen up and don't have to be daft

I have always maintained you lack foresight ..How is this a good thing , why should customers buy meter for Discos? when you go to filling station do you buy the pump metre there? Meters are properties of the DISCOs because it the only way they can recoup their money in sane climes

Anything for stable power supply.
It shouldn't be "anything for stable power supply". That stance is exactly what the heartless criminals we have in leadership want from us the masses to continue to enslave and rob us.
Why should we pay 60k for that meter? Doesn't that sound crazy? Why do these people always have to punish us this way?

The government lacks the will to protect the masses, and they work hand in hand with their criminal partners to make our lives miserable.
